About the role

PAF Air War College Institute, Karachi, invites applications from qualified Pakistani citizens for three Assistant Professor positions. All positions will be filled on a contract basis. Successful candidates will be offered a competitive salary package and will be governed by the institute's statutes, regulations and rules.

Eligibility

Applicants must hold a PhD in International Relations, Political Science or Economics, relevant to the position. They must have the requisite post-qualification teaching or research experience in an HEC-recognized university or degree-awarding institute, in accordance with HEC policy. HEC rules and regulations concerning eligibility for appointments in degree-awarding institutes apply.

Candidates with foreign degrees or certificates must provide an HEC equivalence certificate before the closing date. Applicants already employed in the government sector must apply through the proper channel and submit a no-objection certificate from their institute or department.

How to apply

Submit an application dossier in both hard copy and soft copy to the Office of Registrar. The dossier must include:

• A detailed CV.

• HEC-attested degrees, certificates and transcripts.

• An HEC equivalence certificate for a foreign degree.

• Experience certificates.

• CNIC.

• Domicile.

• Two recent photographs.

• Research publications.

Incomplete applications and applications received after the deadline will not be entertained. Following scrutiny of CVs, only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview by the AWCI Selection Committee. No travel or daily allowance will be paid for attending the interview.

Important dates
