About the role

Bahria University, an initiative of the Pakistan Navy and an equal opportunity employer, invites applications for Chairman of Iqbal Chair at its Head Office in Islamabad.

The Chairman will be responsible for projecting Allama Iqbal's life, ideology and philosophy. The role requires capability and competence in this area, willingness to take responsibility and push the limits, and superb oral and written communication skills. Experience in organizing seminars and workshops will be preferred.

Eligibility

Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Urdu, Pakistan Studies, History, Iqbaliyat or Iqbal Studies, or be a renowned poet or scholar on Iqbal.

Preferably, candidates should have 10 years of teaching and research experience in a university or organization recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC). Candidates with at least five research publications in HEC-recognized journals will be preferred.
