About the role
The Ministry of Railways, Government of Pakistan, invites applications for two posts in its project "Strengthening of Planning, Development, Monitoring and Evaluation Directorate (SPD&ME)" in Islamabad. Both posts are purely on a contract basis under Project Pay Scales (PPS).
The contract runs for two years or until the project is completed, whichever comes first. It may be extended on satisfactory performance during the initial period, up to the completion of the project. Selected candidates can be posted anywhere in Pakistan as the administration requires.

Eligibility
Director (Business Development), PPS-10
- Qualification: MBA or MS in Marketing, Finance or Project Management, with a minimum of 16 years of education.
- An additional qualification in Project Management will be preferred.
- All degrees must be recognised by the HEC.
- Project management experience: at least 12 years of overall work experience in project management.
- PPP experience: more than 5 years of experience in Public Private Partnership (PPP) projects.
- Strategy: comprehensive knowledge of business strategy development and implementation.
- Preference: candidates with varied experience in related fields such as business portfolio management, marketing, investment performance analytics and PPP projects.
- Advantage: expertise in financial analysis.
- Software: knowledge of MS Project or Primavera and MS Office.
- Age limit: maximum 50 years.
Deputy Director (Financial Analyst), PPS-09
- Qualification: MS in Finance, MSc in Economics, ACCA, CA or a related discipline, with a minimum of 16 years of education.
- All degrees must be recognised by the HEC.
- Experience: at least 7 years of post-qualification experience. This must include at least 2 years of preparing and analysing financial models of projects.
- Preference: candidates who use advanced software for business analysis and financial modelling.
- Software: knowledge of MS Office.
- Age limit: maximum 45 years.
