Contract Vacancies at University of Health Sciences Lahore (UHS)

About the role

The University of Health Sciences Lahore (UHS) invites applications from eligible candidates having domicile of Punjab for multiple contract posts. Appointments will be on contract basis as per UHS Service Statutes 2005. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in reputable public sector medical universities or institutions. Selected candidates may be posted at any UHS campus (City & Jinnah Campus KSK). The university reserves the right to increase, decrease or withdraw vacancies and to conduct tests/screening for shortlisting. Posts and vacancies

• Professor (Medical Education) — 1 vacancy (BPS-20)

- Required basic qualification: MBBS or equivalent medical/dental qualification recognized/registered by PM&DC. - Required postgraduate/additional qualification: Level IIb or Level III postgraduate degree or diploma in Medical Education, Health Professions Education or related field recognized by PM&DC. - Required experience: At least 3 years as Associate Professor in the respective subject OR 9 years teaching experience as Assistant Professor in the respective subject. - Research publications: Six research publications as Associate Professor are required; total of fifteen research publications in the relevant subject, of which six should be during the last three years. Level-IIb holders shall be eligible to become Professor.

• Director, Quality Enhancement Cell / Institutional Quality Assessment & Effectiveness (IQAE) — 1 vacancy (BPS-17)

- Option A: MS/MPhil or equivalent (18 years) in Health/Medical Education/Life Sciences/Management Sciences recognized by HEC with 12 years' experience in administration/management in an HEC-recognized public sector university/degree awarding institute or public sector organization in BPS-17 or equivalent and above. - Option B: Masters or equivalent (16 years) in Health/Medical Education/Life Sciences/Management Sciences recognized by HEC with 15 years' experience in administration/management in an HEC-recognized public sector university/degree awarding institute or public sector organization in BPS-17 or equivalent and above.

• Deputy Registrar — 1 vacancy (BPS-18)

- Qualification: M.A./M.Sc./MPA/MBA from HEC recognized university with 5 years administrative experience OR MBBS with 5 years teaching/administrative experience.

• Deputy Controller of Examinations — 1 vacancy (BPS-18)

- Qualification: M.A./M.Sc./MPA/MBA from HEC recognized university with 5 years administrative experience OR MBBS with 5 years teaching/administrative experience.

• Network Administrator — 1 vacancy (BPS-17)

- Qualification: MS in Computer Sciences or BE in Engineering from an HEC recognized university with 2–3 years' experience of network administration and management.

• Database Administrator — 1 vacancy (BPS-17)

- Qualification: MS in Computer Sciences / BCS / BE in Engineering from an HEC recognized university with 2–3 years' experience of database administration. - Required skills: Good oral and written communication and presentation skills; in-depth knowledge of leading database development tools, middleware, hardware platforms and operating systems; familiarity with multi-tier vs client/server models and database technologies.

All posts: Upper age limit mentioned for each post is up to 55 years. Experience, where prescribed, includes equivalent experience in professional service of autonomous/semi-autonomous bodies or reputed private organizations; only post-qualification experience shall be considered.

1) Apply online through the UHS job portal: http://portals.uhs.edu.pk/jobs and complete the pre-filled online application form carefully (no editing allowed after submission). 2) Print the system-generated fee challan and deposit the job application processing fee via 1Link or at any branch of Bank of Punjab. 3) Print the signed hardcopy/printout of the submitted online application form and submit it along with attested copies of CNIC, domicile, all educational certificates/documents, experience certificates and the deposited system-generated fee challan to the Office of Human Resource Department, Room #12, University of Health Sciences, Khayaban-e-Jamia Punjab, Lahore-54600. Submission may be in person or via courier. 4) Fee: For BPS-17 & above the application processing fee is Rs. 2000. Applications submitted without the deposited system-generated fee challan will not be entertained. Deposited amount is non-refundable and non-transferable. 5) Applicants should ensure all documents are attached; incomplete applications or those received after the due date will not be accepted.
