About the role
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Service Commission (KPPSC) invites online applications for four leftover posts of Deputy Superintendent of Police under the fast-track promotion quota. Recruitment is open to eligible Pakistani citizens holding a domicile of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including the merged districts.
These vacancies are intended for confirmed Inspectors who meet the academic, service and training requirements. Recruitment is governed by the relevant service rules and instructions issued by the Government and the Commission.
Posts and vacancies
| Post | Vacancies | Pay scale | Quota | Allocation | Gender |
|---|
| Deputy Superintendent of Police | 4 | BPS-17 | Fast-track promotion quota | Merit | Male/Female |
The posts will be filled strictly according to the advertised allocation. The Government reserves the right to fill or leave vacant any post and to increase or decrease the number of vacancies.
Eligibility
Candidates must meet all of the following requirements:
- Hold at least a second-class bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university.
- Have satisfactorily completed probation and have been confirmed in the rank of Inspector.
- Have received no major penalties during the preceding three years.
- Have qualified a two-week basic course from each of any four Police Specialized Schools during service as a Junior Officer.
- Be Pakistani citizens with a domicile of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including the merged districts.
Candidates must be academically qualified, have a satisfactory service record and have completed probation by the application closing date. Only qualifications held by that date will be considered. Degrees and testimonials from unrecognized institutions will not be accepted. Experience from a recognized institution must be supported by valid documentary evidence.
Age will be reckoned as of 1 January 2026. The date of birth will ordinarily be the date recorded on the matriculation or equivalent certificate.
Candidates may hold only one domicile; holding more than one makes a candidate ineligible. The domicile certificate must have been issued by the competent authority before the application deadline. The domicile submitted will be final, and subsequent changes to its entries will not be accepted.
Where experience is part of the required qualification, recommendations for serving candidates will remain provisional until the relevant department reviews their Performance Evaluation Reports and finds them satisfactory.
Eligible candidates will receive 10 additional marks for the Quaid-e-Azam Police Medal or Pakistan Police Medal. Eligible candidates who have qualified the six-month Basic Elite Training Course will receive five additional marks.
How to apply
Apply using the prescribed online application form at J92LINK0X. Only online applications will be accepted.
Deposit the Rs. 500 application fee, excluding service charges, through the 1 Bill option available in banking applications, including NBP, HBL, ABL, BOK and BoP, or microfinance applications such as Easy Paisa, Jazz Cash and Upaisa. Both the application and the fee must be completed by the closing date.
Complete every field carefully and preview the application to correct any errors before submission. All entries and claims must be supported by documentary evidence, as they will form the basis for calling candidates for the examination.
Documents are not required with the initial online application. Submit them when requested by the Commission. Attested copies of original degrees and certificates will be required during document scrutiny. Candidates must submit their qualifying domicile certificate as part of the required documentation. Departmental Permission Certificates, on the prescribed format, must reach the Commission's office within 30 days after the application closing date.
Provide an active contact number and email address. Regularly check messages, email and the Commission's website for communications. Once an intimation has been sent through any of these channels, delayed receipt or non-receipt will not be grounds for relaxation.
Required documents must reach the Commission within the applicable regulatory timeline; late receipt will result in rejection of the application and candidacy.

Examination and selection conditions
The prescribed examination syllabus can be downloaded from J92LINK0X. Papers may be attempted in English or Urdu, except the English and Urdu papers.
Normally, only eligible candidates will be called for the examination, written test, interview or viva voce. If application numbers are large, an examination or screening test may take place before application scrutiny. Shortlisted candidates will then undergo scrutiny before further selection. Candidates found ineligible will not be called for interview even if they pass the examination or test.
Absence from the written examination does not use an examination chance. Appearing in any one subject counts as an attempt. An officer who fails to qualify the Commission's examination for initial recruitment to a higher rank in three attempts will be ineligible for future examinations held for the same purpose.
Requests for re-totaling marks must reach the Commission within 15 days after announcement of the relevant test or examination results. Requests received after that period will not be entertained.
Candidacy may be cancelled after the written examination if detailed scrutiny establishes ineligibility, regardless of participation or examination results. Candidates should ensure that they meet all examination rules before appearing.
If discrepancies in documents or particulars are found after selection or recommendation, the Commission may cancel or withdraw the recommendation before appointment. If the candidate has already been appointed, the matter will be referred to the relevant department for disciplinary action based on the Commission's report.
