This relaxation follows the Islamabad High Court order dated 16 March 2026 in W.P. No. 2242/2024. These candidates must still complete all recruitment tests and stages.

Age will be calculated on the closing date, 8 July 2026.

Male Band Staff applicants must be at least 5 feet 7 inches tall, have a chest measurement of 33–34½ inches, and complete a one-mile run within seven minutes.

No relaxation in height or chest measurements will be granted.

Selection and fitness

Only candidates who pass the physical/endurance tests and computer-based or written tests will be called for interview. Passing each stage qualifies a candidate for the next stage; failure at any stage results in disqualification from further selection. Candidates applying for multiple posts need to pass the physical test only once. Higher qualifications will receive preference at the interview stage only.

The Departmental Recruitment Board may recheck physical standards at interview. Candidates who fail to meet the requirements will be disqualified, and the board's decision will be final.

Applicants should wear joggers or suitable shoes and bring their own drinking water for the endurance test. They are responsible for ensuring their medical fitness and may obtain a medical examination from a government or district hospital beforehand.

Final selection requires a complete medical examination by a Federal Government medical board or Civil Surgeon. Candidates with Hepatitis B or other persistent ailments will be disqualified. Selected candidates' character and academic credentials will also be verified.
