About the role
Rawalpindi Medical University invites applications from male and female candidates with Punjab domicile for non-teaching appointments. These appointments are on a contract basis for an initial period of one year, extendable based on performance.
Appointments will be made purely on merit under university rules and the latest guidelines issued by the Government of Punjab. Final appointment is subject to verification of educational degrees and experience certificates. Selected candidates will bear any expenses associated with this verification.

The competent authority reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of posts and may cancel the recruitment process at any stage.
Eligibility
Applicants must have Punjab domicile. The age limit for each post is 30–50 years. General relaxation of five years in the upper age limit is allowed; female candidates are allowed eight years of relaxation under government notification No. SORI (S&GAD)9-36/81, dated 21 May 2012.
Registrar
Candidates must meet one of the following qualification and experience combinations:
- Ph.D., FCPS, MS, MDS or MD in any discipline after MBBS or BDS, or an equivalent qualification, from an institute or university recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC), with ten years of relevant experience in a medical college, teaching hospital, institute or university recognized by HEC.
- M.Phil., MPH or MBA after MBBS or BDS from an HEC-recognized institute or university, with twelve years of relevant experience in a medical college, teaching hospital, institute or university recognized by HEC.
- MBBS or BDS from an HEC-recognized institute or university, with fifteen years of relevant experience in a medical college, teaching hospital, institute or university recognized by HEC.
- Ph.D. or M.Phil. after MBBS or BDS, or an equivalent qualification, from an HEC-recognized institute or university, with ten years of experience as Registrar (BS-20) or Additional Registrar (BS-19) at an HEC-recognized public or private sector university.
- Eighteen years of education with second division from an HEC-recognized institute or university, with eighteen years of post-qualification experience in administration or management at a university, government department or autonomous body in BS-17 or above, or an equivalent grade.
Controller of Examination
Candidates must meet one of the following qualification and experience combinations:
- Ph.D., FCPS, MD, MS or MDS after MBBS or BDS, or an equivalent qualification, from an HEC-recognized institute or university, with ten years of teaching, administrative or examination branch experience in an institute, board or university recognized by HEC.
- M.Phil., MPH, MBBS or BDS, or an equivalent qualification, from an HEC-recognized institute or university, with twelve years of relevant experience in a college, teaching hospital, institute or university recognized by HEC.
- MA, MSc, MBA or MCS, or an equivalent qualification, from an HEC-recognized institute or university, with fifteen years of experience in BS-18 or above in the examination branch of an institute, university or board recognized by HEC.
Director (Quality Enhancement Cell)
Candidates must meet one of the following qualification and experience combinations:
- Ph.D., FCPS, MS or MD, or an equivalent qualification, from an HEC-recognized institute or university, with six years of relevant experience in a medical college, teaching hospital or university recognized by HEC.
- M.Phil. or MPH with second division, or an equivalent qualification, after MBBS from an HEC-recognized institute or university, with ten years of relevant experience in a medical college, teaching hospital or university recognized by HEC.
- MS in Total Quality Management or another relevant discipline, or an equivalent qualification, from an HEC-recognized institute or university, with ten years of relevant experience working in different management positions.
Experience will be counted from the date the required qualification or degree was awarded. Applicants must attach a PM&DC, PMC, HEC or PEC recognition certificate for their experience demonstrating eligibility. Foreign degrees must be recognized by HEC, PM&DC, PMC or PEC. Degree credentials must meet the stated PM&DC, PMC or PEC recognition and registration requirements.

Download the prescribed application proforma from http://rmur.edu.pk and complete it fully. Submit it with attested copies of documents, degrees, certificates, CNIC and domicile, along with two recent passport-size colour photographs and the required recognition and registration certificates.

Enclose a bank draft or pay order of Rs. 2,000 in favour of the Vice Chancellor, RMU, Rawalpindi.
Candidates applying for more than one post must submit a separate, complete application form with the necessary documents for each post. Clearly write the name of the post applied for on the top-right side of the envelope.
Applicants already employed in government, semi-government or autonomous bodies must apply through the proper channel. Incomplete applications will not be entertained.
Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. No travelling or daily allowance will be allowed.
