Assistant Manager Vacancies at Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Contract)

About the role

Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) invites applications for Assistant Manager positions on a purely contract basis on a lump-sum pay package. Vacancies are in the Market Implementation and Regulatory Affairs Department and related technical functions. Candidates will be provisionally allowed to appear in the ETEA screening test and shortlisted applicants will be called for interview. The service is purely contractual with no regularization.

Posts and vacancies

• Assistant Manager (Finance) — 2 posts — BPS-16

- Required qualifications and experience: CA (Inter) / CMA (Inter) / ACCA (Member) or M.Com or MBA (Finance) or B.Com (Hons) (4-year) or BBA Finance (Hons) (4-year). Computer literacy is mandatory. Candidates should have relevant post-qualification experience in audit and accounts of government, semi-government, large commercial organizations or public limited companies. Minimum three years total experience including one year experience in the power sector; two years post-qualification experience is required.

• Assistant Manager (Transmission & Planning) — 1 post

- Required qualifications and experience: Bachelor degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering from an HEC-recognized university. Minimum three years total experience including one year in transmission planning. Candidate should understand transmission planning at 132-kV level, capital budgeting and preparation of project documents related to transmission planning.

• Assistant Manager (Demand Forecasting) — 1 post

- Required qualifications and experience: Bachelor degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering from an HEC-recognized university. Minimum three years total experience including one year in demand forecasting. Candidate should understand medium-term demand forecasting and consolidation of demand forecasts.

All vacancies are open quota unless stated otherwise. PESCO reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of vacancies and to cancel the recruitment process at any stage.

Eligibility

• Age limits: 21 to 33 years as stated for the posts. General age relaxation has already been included in the ages mentioned. Scheduled castes and Buddhists are allowed 3 years relaxation. Government servants who have completed two years continuous government service on the closing date shall be allowed 10 years relaxation in the upper age limit.

• Candidates must be eligible in all respects by the last date of receipt of applications. Applications with incomplete or fake documents/information will be rejected at any stage.

• Candidates selected may be required to perform duty anywhere under the jurisdiction of PESCO.

• Original documents must be presented at the time of interview. Candidates working in government or semi-government bodies should apply through proper channel.

• Dismissed or screened-out employees of any organization or persons with a criminal record are not eligible. In case of foreign degrees, equivalence certificates from HEC must be provided.

How to apply

1. Visit https://www.etea.edu.pk and create a profile on ETEA's website. 2. After profile creation and before applying, print the E-Sahulat token from ETEA's website and get CNIC verified at any NADRA E-Sahulat franchise (kiosk). Without this verification, candidates cannot apply. 3. Submit the online application form for the desired post(s) on ETEA. Apply separately and pay separate fees if applying for more than one post. 4. After successful submission, a prescribed online deposit slip (showing token number, project code and candidate information) will be generated. Take a printout of the deposit slip and deposit the prescribed non-refundable test fee through OneLink. Keep the original deposit slip (candidate copy) with the bank stamp. 5. Do not send documents or testimonials to the ETEA office after applying. Copies of documents will be required only from candidates who qualify the screening test and are called for scrutiny by the appointing authority. 6. Candidates will be informed by SMS from ETEA to download and print their roll number slips from https://www.etea.edu.pk Do not provide a ported/converted mobile number. 7. Test date, time and venue will be mentioned on the roll number slip. No separate call letter will be issued by post or courier.
