Assistant Manager Vacancies at Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Contract)

About the role

Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) invites applications for contract appointments on a lump-sum pay basis for its Market Implementation and Regulatory Affairs Department. Appointments are purely on contract and do not lead to regularization. Candidates will be provisionally allowed to appear in the ETEA screening test based on submitted credentials; detailed scrutiny will follow and ineligible candidates will be disqualified at any stage.

Posts and vacancies

• Assistant Manager (Finance)

- Positions: 2 - Scale: BPS-16 or equivalent (as printed) - Key requirements: CA(Inter)/CMA(Inter)/ACCA (Member) or M.Com / MBA (Finance) / B.Com (Hons) 4-year / BBA Finance (Hons) 4-year or equivalent 04 Years/06 Semester Honours degree. Computer literacy is mandatory. - Experience: 02 years post-qualification experience in audit and accounts of government / semi-government / corporations / autonomous bodies or large commercial organizations or large public limited companies. Minimum 03 years total experience including 01 year in the power sector if available. Understanding of bilateral contracts, bidding processes and competitive electricity market knowledge is an added advantage.

• Assistant Manager (Transmission & Planning)

- Positions: 1 - Scale: null - Key requirements: Bachelor degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering from an HEC-recognized university. - Experience: Minimum 03 years total experience including 01 year in transmission planning if available. Candidate should have understanding of transmission planning at 132 kV level, capital budgeting and preparation of project documents related to transmission planning.

• Assistant Manager (Demand Forecasting)

- Positions: 1 - Scale: null - Key requirements: Bachelor degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering from an HEC-recognized university. - Experience: Minimum 03 years total experience including 01 year in demand forecasting if available. Candidate should understand medium-term and other demand forecasting and consolidating demand forecasts.

Eligibility

• Age limit: 21 to 33 years for all posts (general age relaxation is already included in the stated ages).

• Additional relaxations: Scheduled castes and Buddhists allowed 3 years relaxation; Government servants with two years continuous government service on the closing date shall be allowed 10 years relaxation in upper age limit.

• Candidates must be eligible in all respects by the last date of receipt of applications. Original documents must be presented at interview. Candidates dismissed or screened out from any organization or having a criminal record are not eligible. In case of foreign degrees, HEC equivalence certificates must be provided. Candidates working in Government/Semi-Government bodies should apply through proper channel.

How to apply

1. Apply online at www.etea.edu.pk. Create a profile on ETEA's website before applying. 2. After creating the profile and before applying or depositing fee, print the E-Sahulat token from ETEA's website and get CNIC verified at any NADRA E-Sahulat franchise (kiosk). Without CNIC verification you will not be able to apply. 3. After successful submission of the online application, a prescribed online deposit slip (showing token number, project code and candidate information) will be generated. Take a printout of the deposit slip and deposit the prescribed non-refundable test fee through OneLink. Keep the original deposit slip (candidate copy) with the bank stamp; do not share it. 4. Do not send documents or testimonials to the ETEA office after online application. Copies of testimonials/documents will be required from candidates who qualify the screening test when requested by the appointing authority. 5. Candidates applying for more than one post must apply separately for each post and pay separate fee. Government employees should apply through proper channel. 6. Candidates will be informed by SMS from ETEA to download and print their roll number slips from www.etea.edu.pk; do not supply a ported/converted mobile number. Test date, time and venue will be printed on the roll number slip. No separate call letter will be posted.
