About the role
Defence Housing Authority City Karachi (DHAC) is seeking an experienced and dedicated Chief Coordinator for DHA Energy Supply Company (DESCO) (Pvt) Ltd.
The Chief Coordinator will coordinate daily electricity distribution and supply activities across service areas, monitor network performance and service quality, and ensure uninterrupted power supply through effective operational planning and control. The role includes coordinating maintenance schedules, monitoring power quality and network reliability indicators, and developing contingency plans for emergencies and disasters.
The successful candidate will liaise with generation companies, transmission operators, regulatory authorities, government agencies and customers. Responsibilities also include coordinating engineering, operations, maintenance, customer service and commercial activities; ensuring compliance with electricity regulations, safety standards, environmental requirements and company policies; and resolving supply-related complaints and service issues.
Other duties include coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance, supporting network expansion and infrastructure rehabilitation projects, leading emergency responses during outages and system disturbances, and supporting regulatory submissions, compliance reporting and responses to public-sector inquiries. The coordinator will prepare operational, regulatory and management reports for senior leadership and the Board of Directors and promote safety, accountability, professionalism and continuous improvement.

Eligibility
Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline, from an institution recognised by the Higher Education Commission (HEC). A master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Energy Management or a related field will be an added advantage.
Candidates need at least 10–15 years of relevant experience in the power or utility sector, including at least 6–8 years in senior management or executive leadership. They must demonstrate experience in power distribution operations, network planning and maintenance, stakeholder coordination, power project management and regulatory affairs. Strong leadership, communication and strategic management skills are required.
Preference will be given to applicants with board membership experience and more than five years of regulatory and utilities experience.
