About the role
Dr. Panjwani Center for Molecular Medicine and Drug Research, part of the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS) at the University of Karachi, is hiring a Co-Director / Professor.
The successful candidate is expected to show a clear vision for the future growth of the Centre. This includes research development, external funding and international collaboration.
The appointment will initially be for 4 years. It is renewable subject to academic and administrative performance, including winning major national and international funds for the growth of the institution.

Eligibility
- Degree: A PhD in Molecular Medicine, Biomedical Sciences or Health Sciences from a university or institution recognised by the HEC.
- Experience: At least 12 years of post-PhD teaching or research experience in relevant fields.
- Publications: Strong scientific publications in internationally abstracted impact factor journals in the relevant field, as per the approved TTS statutes.
- Age: Candidates must be below 55 years of age.
- Preferred profile: An h-index above 40 and over 10,000 citations on Google Scholar.
Applicants should have had an impact on the state of knowledge in their field. They should also have:
- successfully supervised postgraduate researchers
- secured national or international research and development grants
- built international academic and research links
- led research groups, centres, units, sections or major programmes
- other achievements in the field
Experience in molecular medicine, translational biomedical research or related fields is desirable.
