Contract Vacancies at Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO)

About the role

Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) invites applications for contract appointments on a lump-sum pay basis in its Market Implementation and Regulatory Affairs Department. Appointments are purely on contract and carry no entitlement to regularization. Candidates will be provisionally allowed to sit the ETEA screening test based on submitted credentials; detailed scrutiny will be carried out by the appointing authority. Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview and must present original documents at that time. Selected candidates may be required to perform duties anywhere under the jurisdiction of PESCO.

Posts and vacancies

• Assistant Manager (Finance) — 2 positions — Scale: BPS-16 or equivalent

• Assistant Manager (Transmission & Planning) — 1 position

• Assistant Manager (Demand Forecasting) — 1 position

Eligibility

• Age: 21 to 33 years for all posts. General age relaxation is included in the stated age limits. Candidates belonging to scheduled castes and Buddhists are allowed 3 years relaxation. Government servants with two years continuous government service on the closing date are allowed 10 years relaxation in upper age limit.

• Assistant Manager (Finance): Minimum qualification CA (Inter) / CMA (Inter) / ACCA (Member) or M.Com / MBA (Finance) / B.Com (Hons) four-year course / BBA Finance (Hons) four-year course with 2 years post-qualification experience in audit and accounts of government department / semi-government organization / corporation / autonomous body or a large commercial organization or large public limited company of repute. Computer literacy is mandatory. Minimum 3 years total experience including 1 year of experience in the power sector, if available. Understanding of bilateral contracts and bidding process and knowledge of competitive electricity market is an added advantage.

• Assistant Manager (Transmission & Planning): Bachelor degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering from an HEC-recognized university. Minimum 3 years total experience including 1 year experience in transmission planning, if available. Candidate should have understanding of transmission planning at 132 kV level and capital budgeting including preparation of project documents related to transmission planning.

• Assistant Manager (Demand Forecasting): Bachelor degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering from an HEC-recognized university. Minimum 3 years total experience including 1 year experience in demand forecasting, if available. Candidate should understand medium-term and other demand forecasting and consolidating demand forecasts.

• Candidates with foreign degrees must provide HEC equivalence certificates.

• Dismissed or screened-out employees of any organization or persons with criminal records are not eligible. Concealment or misrepresentation of facts at any stage will lead to disqualification.

1. Visit www.etea.edu.pk and create a profile on ETEA's website. After profile creation, print the E-Sahulat token from ETEA's website and get your CNIC verified at any NADRA E-Sahulat franchise (Kiosk). CNIC verification is required before applying. 2. Apply online for the desired post(s) at www.etea.edu.pk. Apply separately and pay separate fee for each post you apply for. 3. After successful submission, a prescribed online deposit slip (with token number and project code) will be generated. Print the deposit slip and deposit the prescribed non-refundable test fee through OneLink. Keep the original deposit slip (candidate copy) with bank stamp; do not share it. 4. Do not send documents or testimonials to the ETEA office after online application. Copies of documents will be requested from candidates who qualify the screening test for scrutiny by the appointing authority. 5. Government / semi-government employees should apply through proper channel. 6. Candidates will be informed by SMS from ETEA to download and print their roll number slips from www.etea.edu.pk. Test date, time and venue will be mentioned on the roll number slip. No separate call letter will be issued by post or courier.
