About the role

The University of Health Sciences (UHS) Lahore invites applications for several contract positions. These roles are based at UHS campuses in Lahore and will be filled on contract as per UHS Service Statutes 2005. Appointments may be made at any campus of the University. The University is an equal opportunity employer and preference will be given to candidates with experience in reputable public sector medical universities or institutions.

Posts and vacancies

• Professor (Medical Education) — BPS-20 — positions: not stated

- Required basic qualification: MBBS or equivalent medical/dental qualification recognized/registered by the PM&DC. - Required postgraduate qualification: Level IIb or Level II postgraduate degree or diploma in Medical Education, Health Professions Education or related field recognized by PMSDC. - Required experience: At least three (03) years as Associate Professor in the respective subject OR nine (09) years teaching experience as Assistant Professor in the respective subject. - Research publications: Six (6) research publications as Associate Professor are required; a total of fifteen (15) research publications in the relevant subject is required, of which six (6) should be during the last three years. Level-IIb holders shall be eligible to become Professor.

• Director, Quality Enhancement / Quality Assessment and Effectiveness (IQAE) — BPS-20 — positions: 01

- Qualification: MS/MPhil or equivalent (18 years of education) in Health/Medical Education/Life Sciences/Management Sciences recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) with 12 years' experience in administration/management in an HEC recognized public sector university/degree awarding institute or a public sector organization in BPS-17 or equivalent and above; alternative qualification text in the advertisement also allows a Masters or equivalent (16 years education) with 15 years' administration/management experience in an HEC recognized public sector university/degree awarding institute.

• Deputy Registrar — BPS-18 — positions: 01

- Qualification: M.A./M.Sc./MPA/MBA from an HEC recognized university with 5 years administrative experience OR MBBS with 5 years teaching/administrative experience.

• Deputy Controller of Examinations — BPS-18 — positions: 01

- Qualification: M.A./M.Sc./MPA/MBA from an HEC recognized university with 5 years administrative experience OR MBBS with 5 years teaching/administrative experience.

• Network Administrator — BPS-17 — positions: 01

- Qualification: MS in Computer Sciences or BE in Engineering from an HEC recognized university having 2–3 years' experience of network administration and management.

• Database Administrator — BPS-17 — positions: 01

- Qualification: MS in Computer Sciences, BCS or BE in Engineering from an HEC recognized university having 2–3 years' experience of database administration. Must possess good oral and written communication and presentation skills; in-depth knowledge of current leading database development tools, middleware, hardware platforms and operating systems; well versed in multi-tier client/server models and database technologies.

Eligibility

• Only candidates domiciled in Punjab are eligible to apply.

• Upper age limit for the advertised posts is up to 55 years unless relaxation is granted as per statutes/rules of the Government of Punjab.

• Only post-qualification experience shall be considered for eligibility. Where experience is prescribed, equivalent experience in a profession or in the service of an autonomous/semi-autonomous body or well reputed private organization may be counted.

• Applicants working in public sector organizations/departments must apply through the proper channel.

• Preference will be given to candidates with experience in reputable public sector medical universities/institutions.

(The advertisement instructs applicants to apply online through the university job portal.) 2) Submit a signed hardcopy/printout of the same pre-filled online application form to the Office of Human Resource Department, Room #12, University of Health Sciences, Khayaban-e-Jamia Punjab, Lahore-54600. 3) Print the system generated fee challan and deposit the job application processing fee as mentioned on the challan through 1Link or in any branch of Bank of Punjab. Fee for BPS-17 and above: Rs. 2,000.00. Deposited amount is non-refundable/non-transferable. Applications submitted without the deposited system generated fee challan will not be entertained. 4) Attach attested copies of CNIC, domicile, all educational documents/certificates, experience certificates and the deposited system generated fee challan with the printed online application form. 5) Submit the printed online application form along with all attached documents in person or via courier to the Office of Human Resource Department by the closing date. Incomplete applications or applications received after the due date will not be accepted.
