About the role

The University of Health Sciences Lahore (UHS) invites applications from eligible candidates having domicile of Punjab for various faculty and administrative posts on contract basis. Posts and vacancies

• Professor (Medical Education) — 1 post — BPS-20

- Basic qualification: MBBS or equivalent medical/dental qualification recognized/registered by PM&DC. - Additional qualification: Level IIb or Level II postgraduate degree or diploma in Medical Education / Health Professions Education or related field recognized by PM&DC. - Experience: At least 3 years as Associate Professor in the respective subject OR 9 years teaching experience as Assistant Professor in the respective subject. - Research: Six research publications as Associate Professor required; total of fifteen research publications in relevant subject, of which six should be during the last three years.

• Director, Quality Enhancement Cell / Institutional Quality Assessment and Effectiveness (IQAE) — 1 post — BPS-20

- Qualification option 1: MS/MPhil or equivalent (18 years) in Health/Medical Education/Life Sciences/Management Sciences recognized by HEC with 12 years' experience in administration/management in an HEC recognized public sector university/degree awarding institute or public sector organization in BPS-17 or equivalent and above. - Qualification option 2: Masters or equivalent (16 years) in the same fields recognized by HEC with 15 years' experience in administration/management in an HEC recognized public sector university/degree awarding institute or public sector organization in BPS-17 or equivalent and above.

• Deputy Registrar — 1 post — BPS-18

- Qualification: M.A./M.Sc./MPA/MBA from HEC recognized university with 5 years administrative experience OR MBBS with 5 years teaching/administrative experience.

• Deputy Controller of Examinations — 1 post — BPS-18

- Qualification: M.A./M.Sc./MPA/MBA from HEC recognized university with 5 years administrative experience OR MBBS with 5 years teaching/administrative experience.

• Network Administrator — 1 post — BPS-17

- Qualification: MS in Computer Sciences / BE in Engineering from HEC recognized university with 2–3 years' experience of network administration and management.

• Database Administrator — 1 post — BPS-17

- Qualification: MS in Computer Sciences / BCS / BE in Engineering from HEC recognized university with 2–3 years' experience of database administration. - Skills: Good oral and written communication and presentation skills; in-depth knowledge of leading database development tools, middleware, platforms and operating systems; familiarity with multi-tier vs client/server models and database technologies (transactional, relational, object oriented & distributed databases).

Eligibility

• Only candidates with domicile of Punjab may apply.

• Age limit for the advertised posts: up to 55 years (as stated per post).

• Only post-qualification experience will be considered for eligibility.

• Experience where prescribed may include equivalent experience in a profession or in the service of an autonomous/ semi-autonomous body or well reputed private organization.

• Relaxation in upper age limit may be granted as per statutes/rules of the Government of Punjab.

• Preference will be given to candidates with experience in a reputable public sector medical university / institution.

• Applicants working in public sector organizations/departments must apply through the proper channel.

How to apply

1. Apply online through the university job portal. After online submission, print the signed hardcopy (system generated online application) and submit it to the Office of Human Resource Department, Room #12, University of Health Sciences, Khayaban-e-Jamia Punjab, Lahore.
2. Print the system generated fee challan and deposit the job application processing fee through 1Link or at any branch of Bank of Punjab.
3. Attach attested copies of CNIC, domicile, all educational documents/certificates, experience certificates and the deposited system generated fee challan with the printed online application form.
4. Application processing fee for BPS-17 & above: Rs. 2,000. Applications submitted without deposited system generated fee challan will not be entertained. Deposited amount is non-refundable and non-transferable.
5. Printed online application form along with all attached documents must be submitted in person or via courier to the Human Resource Department by the closing date.
