About the role
The Office of the Superintending Engineer, Communication & Works Department, Umerkot, Government of Sindh, invites applications from candidates holding domicile of District Umerkot for initial recruitment against posts included in the budget for financial year 2026–2027.
Recruitment follows the Sindh High Court, Circuit Court Mirpurkhas, order dated 19 May 2026 in CP Nos. D-324, D-397, D-446 and D-447 of 2026, and the cabinet decision dated 1 December 2025, communicated by the Section Officer-V, SGA&CD, through letter No. SOIV(SGA&CD)8-27/2019 (Pt-IV), dated 3 December 2025.
The vacancies are initially temporary and will become permanent after completion of the probation period under the Sindh Service (Appointment, Promotion & Transfer) Rules, 1973.

The number of vacancies may be increased or decreased at any stage. Candidates will have no right to challenge such changes.
Eligibility
Candidates must hold domicile of District Umerkot. A general relaxation of five years in the upper age limit is admissible under the applicable government rules and policy, communicated through Notification No. SOII(SGA&CD)5-64/2011 (Part-II), dated 6 March 2025.
Government of Sindh quota rules apply, including 5% for differently abled persons, 15% for women, 5% for minorities and 0.5% for transgender candidates.
Applicants already in government service must apply through their respective departments through the proper channel. Canvassing in any form will result in disqualification.
How to apply
Submit an application in the prescribed format to the Office of the Superintending Engineer, Communication & Works Department, Umerkot.
Attach two passport-size photographs and attested copies of academic qualification testimonials, CNIC, domicile, PRC, driving licence and experience certificate, where required.
The application form requires the following information:
- Quota category: General, differently abled persons, women, minorities or transgender.
- Applicant's name and father's name.
- CNIC number and date of birth.
- Union council and district domicile.
- Postal address and cell number.
Paste two recent passport-size photographs in the designated space on the form.
Only eligible or shortlisted candidates will be called for a test or interview. No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the interview.
The recruiting office is headed by Engr. Naveed Saleh Memon, Superintending Engineer, Communication & Works Department, Umerkot.
