About the role
The Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNSC) is a statutory corporation established under Ordinance XX of 1979. As the National Flag Carrier, the PNSC Group of companies undertakes global shipping operations. PNSC is seeking a high-calibre, result-oriented professional for the position of Head of Internal Audit in Karachi.
The appointment will be on contract, initially for three years, and may be extended with mutual consent. The selected candidate will be offered a market-based remuneration package that matches their qualifications and experience.
The appointment will follow the criteria set out in these rules:

Eligibility
- Qualification: Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP), the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMAP), ACCA or CPA.
- Experience: At least 7 years of relevant post-qualification experience in auditing and risk management, including:
- designing internal control procedures
- ensuring effective compliance and financial reliability in the public or private sector
- an understanding of governance, risk and risk control, especially in state-owned enterprises (SOEs) or listed companies
- Fit and Proper Criteria: The candidate must meet the "Fit and Proper Criteria" under Schedule IV of the SOEs Act.
- Age limit: Up to 50 years.
Preference may be given to candidates with experience of:
- working as Chief Internal Auditor or Head of Internal Audit in the shipping industry, an SOE or a listed company
- working in an ERP environment to ensure effective internal controls and risk management
