About the role

University of Balochistan, Quetta invites applications for the post of Principal of the University Law College, a constituent college of the University. The Principal will provide academic and administrative leadership to promote legal education, professional development and the overall functioning of the college.

Posts and vacancies

• Principal, University Law College — 1 post

• Grade/Scale: BPS-20

• Nature of appointment: Appointment will be made on a contract basis initially for a period of three (03) years, extendable for another term subject to satisfactory performance.

Eligibility

Candidates must meet one of the following options:

• Ph.D. in Law with six (06) years of law teaching experience and practice experience in the High Court; or

• Master's degree in Law with fifteen (15) years of law teaching experience and practice experience in the High Court; or

• A retired Judge of the Supreme Court or a High Court; or

• A retired District and Sessions Judge having five (05) years of judicial service to his credit.

Additional eligibility and instructions from the advertisement:

• Experience certificates, duly reflecting the experience mentioned in the CV, must be attached with the application form.

• Applicants already in service must apply through proper channel along with a No Objection Certificate (NOC) issued by their parent department by the due date.

• Candidates from all over Pakistan are eligible to apply.

• Canvassing in any form will render the candidate liable to disqualification.

• A non-refundable application processing fee of Rs. 3,500/- must be deposited for each application in the form of a UoB Bank Challan or Bank Demand Draft in favour of the Treasurer, University of Balochistan.

• Complete application form along with all required documents, including experience certificates and NOC where applicable, must be submitted to the Establishment Section, University of Balochistan.

• Applications may be submitted personally or through post to the Establishment Section, University of Balochistan within the stipulated due date.

• Incomplete applications, applications received after the due date, applications not fulfilling the minimum eligibility criteria, or those submitted without the processing fee shall not be entertained.

• Test and interview will be conducted at the University of Balochistan, Quetta. No TA/DA will be admissible.
