About the role

GIFT University invites applications for the position of Rector. Established in 2002, the University was chartered by the Government of Punjab under Act XIV of 2004 and is recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan.

The University aims to deliver transformational education with an ethical and entrepreneurial mindset, foster socio-economic development and create a positive social impact. It has developed national and international links with industry and chambers of commerce to become part of the global economy.

Eligibility

Candidates should meet the following requirements:

• Hold a PhD from an HEC-recognized university, with extensive teaching, research and professional experience meeting the existing HEC criteria for appointment as a Professor.

• Have a strong peer network in the education sector within Pakistan and abroad.

• Demonstrate proven experience in building industry partnerships and driving social impact through entrepreneurship and community engagement.

• Exhibit strong ties across national and international spheres.

• Have experience and excellent policy-making capabilities for the efficient and effective management of University matters.

• Have research papers published in HEC-recognized publications and reputed international journals.

• Have exposure to and experience in dealing with HEC affairs.
