Technical and Administrative Staff Vacancies at National Textile University

About the role

National Textile University (NTU), a federally chartered public sector university, invites applications from Pakistani nationals for six technical and administrative vacancies under the Balochistan provincial quota. The positions are based at the university's Faisalabad and Karachi campuses and are offered on BPS contract or lump-sum contract terms.

Posts and vacancies

Each position has one vacancy reserved under the Balochistan 6% provincial quota.

Eligibility

Applicants must be Pakistani nationals and meet the relevant qualifications, experience, domicile/quota and age requirements.

• Lab In Charge, Computer Science: BS (Honours) or equivalent, comprising 16 years of education in the relevant field, with at least 60% marks or a 2.50 CGPA and at least one year of relevant experience. The age limit is 24–30 years, plus five years of general age relaxation.

• Lab Engineer, Textile Engineering-Garments: BE, comprising 16 years of education in the relevant field, with at least 60% marks or a 2.50 CGPA and at least one year of relevant experience. Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) registration is mandatory. The age limit is 24–30 years, plus five years of general age relaxation.

• Administrative Assistant: BA, BSc, a two-year Associate Degree or BCom, comprising 14 years of education, with at least 50% marks from a recognized university and three years of relevant experience. Computer skills and knowledge of MS Office are compulsory. The age limit is 18–25 years, plus five years of general age relaxation and five additional years of relaxation for candidates from Balochistan.

• Senior Technician, Carpentry Workshop: DAE, comprising 12 years of education in the relevant field, with at least a second division and five years of relevant experience. The age limit is 18–25 years, plus five years of general age relaxation and five additional years of relaxation for candidates from Balochistan.

• Technician, Mechanical/Textile/Chemical: Matric, comprising 10 years of education, with at least three years of relevant experience. The age limit is 18–25 years, plus five years of general age relaxation and five additional years of relaxation for candidates from Balochistan.

• Technician, Fashion Design (Draping and Pattern Making): Matric, comprising 10 years of education, with at least three years of relevant experience. The age limit is 18–25 years, plus five years of general age relaxation and five additional years of relaxation for candidates from Balochistan.

Recruitment will follow the Establishment Division recruitment policy conveyed through OM No. 53/1/2008-SP dated October 22, 2014, January 16, 2015 and March 11, 2020, as amended from time to time. Five years of general age relaxation applies to all posts; further relaxation will follow government policy and rules.

Deposit the job application processing fee through a challan at any online branch of the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP), or by online transfer to NBP account number 08893071040037:

• BPS/equivalent Scale 17: Rs. 2,000.

• BPS/equivalent Scales 05–16: Rs. 1,000.

At the interview, applicants must present their original documents and a set of attested copies of degrees and certificates issued by HEC or recognized boards, universities or institutes, together with their CNIC and domicile certificate. False or bogus information will lead to cancellation of candidature and legal action at any stage of recruitment, including after employment.

Recruitment will take place at district level with the assistance of newly established Employment Cells in Balochistan districts, as a special measure to recruit residents. Recruitment for posts in Scales 01–16 will be through walk-in interviews, without entry or written tests. Only shortlisted candidates for these scales will be allowed to attend the walk-in interview. No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing in a test or interview.

The university reserves the right to cancel the recruitment process, increase or decrease the number of posts according to its requirements, or take such action for any post at any stage without assigning a reason.
