About the role
Government College Lahore, a public sector university, invites applications from qualified and experienced individuals for six-month contract appointments under the PSDP-funded development project, Centre for Advanced Studies in Physics, Government College University Lahore. The positions are based at the New Campus in Kala Shah Kaku.

The all-inclusive monthly salary packages are Rs. 212,630 for Research Officer, Rs. 141,750 for Research Associate, Rs. 94,500 for Research Assistant and Sub Engineer, and Rs. 70,880 for Lab Assistant. Each package includes an annual increment of 3%.
The university reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of posts.
Eligibility
- Research Officer: PhD in the relevant field with experience in equipment installation and operation.
- Research Associate: PhD student specializing in Material Physics.
- Research Assistant: M.Phil. research student specializing in Physics.
- Sub Engineer: B.Sc. or D.A.E. in Mechanical or Electrical disciplines, plus five years of experience.
- Lab Assistant: B.Sc. in Physics with two years of relevant experience.
A 5% quota for minorities and a 3% quota for persons with disabilities will be observed. General upper-age relaxation of up to five years for men and eight years for women applies under Government of Punjab, S&GAD circular No. SOR-1 (S&GAD) 9-36/81 dated 4 November 2006.

The non-refundable processing fee is Rs. 1,000 for Research Officer and Research Associate, and Rs. 500 each for Research Assistant, Sub Engineer and Lab Assistant. Submit the fee through a challan at HBL, GC Branch, or online to HBL account No. 2398-70001616-03. Alternatively, submit a bank draft, demand draft or postal order in favour of the Vice Chancellor, GC, Lahore. Attach the original bank challan, receipt or draft to the application form.
Post the completed application form, together with attested copies of all testimonials, experience certificates, CNIC and CV, to the Registrar Office, GC, Lahore. Applications must reach the office during office hours by the closing date.
