About the role
The Office of the Medical Superintendent, Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Kharian, invites applications from residents of District Gujrat for janitorial staff to carry out cleaning and sanitation work at the hospital. Recruitment is for a period of 89 days, under Letter No. SO(B&A)1-48/2022-23 (P) dated 21 June 2023.
The appointment is purely temporary, for 89 days, and is made through the Health Council. It gives no right to permanent appointment or regular employment, and it is not against any sanctioned post. Selected staff must keep the hospital clean and carry out the related duties assigned by the administration. They may be posted to the hospital or institution where they are needed.
Selected candidates must register on the hospital's biometric system and mark attendance daily. Pay is linked only to the biometric system. Without a biometric record, a worker is treated as absent. Two consecutive days of absence will lead to dismissal. A worker may also be dismissed without prior notice for any complaint or unsatisfactory performance. Wages are paid at the government's fixed rate, only by crossed cheque or into a bank account.

Eligibility
- Candidates must be residents of District Gujrat and hold a domicile of the district.
- Candidates must meet the prescribed criteria.
- Candidates must be medically and physically fit.
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience of cleaning work in a hospital.
- Age limit: 50 years or less.
- Recruitment will be on merit, in line with the current policy and instructions of the Government of Punjab.

Applications received after the closing date, or incomplete applications, will not be accepted. At the interview, candidates must present their original identity card, original educational certificates, domicile and experience certificates.
No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview or selection. The selection committee may accept or reject any application under the rules and will decide all matters relating to the recruitment. If any information or document is found to be false or forged at any stage, the application or appointment may be cancelled.
