The Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of Pakistan, is hiring a Senior Legislative Advisor on a contract basis. The initial contract period is three years, with further extension under the MP Scale Policy, 2020.
The role requires experience in drafting or reviewing conventions, agreements, memoranda of understanding, contracts and other legal documents. An understanding of international law, skills in providing legal opinions on policy and regulatory matters, and experience in legislative drafting are preferred.
Applicants must hold a foreign or local LLM, or be a Barrister-at-Law or Solicitor, with at least nine years of experience in legal and legislative matters in the public or private sector.
For shortlisting, candidates with public-sector experience will be preferred, followed by candidates with experience in state-run corporations or entities and reputable private corporations.
Candidates must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively at national and international forums. They must demonstrate professionalism, discipline, integrity, strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
