About the role
The Office of the Executive Engineer, Highways Division Umerkot, Government of Sindh, invites applications for initial recruitment to BPS-01 to BPS-04 posts. Applicants must hold domicile of District Umerkot. These posts are included in the budget for the financial year 2026–2027.
The recruitment follows the Sindh High Court Circuit Court Mirpurkhas order dated 19 May 2026 in constitutional petitions D-324, D-397, D-446 and D-447 of 2026. It also follows the cabinet decision dated 1 December 2025, communicated by Section Officer-V, Services, General Administration and Coordination Department, through letter No. SOV(SGA&CD)8-27/2019 (Pt-IV), dated 3 December 2025.
The vacancies are on a purely temporary basis and will become permanent after completion of the probation period under the Sindh Service (Appointment, Promotion & Transfer) Rules, 1973.

The number of vacancies may be increased or decreased at any stage. Candidates will have no right to challenge a change in the number of vacancies.
Eligibility
Candidates must hold domicile of District Umerkot and meet the qualifications and experience requirements for their chosen post. The age limit for every post is 18–28 years.
General relaxation of five years in the upper age limit is admissible under the applicable government rules and policy, as communicated through Notification No. SOII(SGA&CD)5-64/2011 (Part-II), dated 6 March 2025.
Government of Sindh quota rules will apply, including 5% for differently abled persons, 15% for women, 5% for minorities and 0.5% for transgender persons.
Applicants already in government service must apply through their respective department and proper channel. Any attempt at canvassing will disqualify the candidate.
How to apply
Submit an application using the prescribed applicant form to Highways Division Umerkot. Attach two passport-size photographs and attested copies of academic qualification certificates, CNIC, domicile, PRC, driving licence and experience certificate, where required.
The form requires the name of the post, the quota applied against, applicant's name, father's name, CNIC number, date of birth, qualification, union council, district domicile, postal address, cell number and applicant's signature. Paste two recent passport-size photographs in the designated space.
The office is headed by Engineer Abdul Majeed Mangrio, Executive Engineer, Highways Division Umerkot.
Only eligible or shortlisted candidates will be called for a test or interview. No travelling or daily allowance will be admissible for attending the interview.
