About the role
Karachi Metropolitan University is seeking a Vice Chancellor through the Government of Sindh's Universities and Boards Department. This corrigendum revises the eligibility requirements for Category 2 and Category 3 applicants and extends the application deadline. All other terms and conditions of the vacancy announcement remain unchanged.

Eligibility
Category 2
Applicants must be cadre officers of BPS-21 or above from PAS, Ex-PCS, PSS or PMS, holding both an MBBS and a master's degree in any discipline from a university or institute recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
A cadre officer applying on the basis of civil service experience must resign or seek retirement from the respective cadre service upon selection as Vice Chancellor, as applicable.
Category 3
Applicants must hold a master's degree, preferably a Ph.D., in the relevant field. They must have at least 20 years of experience in academia, intelligentsia, civil society, research or management leadership positions. This experience requirement has been increased from 15 years.
Applicants must also have a distinguished research and publication record, including at least 10 publications in HEC-recognized journals.
Age limit
Candidates must be no more than 65 years old on the last date for applications.
