Assistant Director (Database Security)

About the role

NADRA is hiring an Assistant Director focused on database security and monitoring. The role includes installation, configuration and maintenance of IBM Guardium appliances and agents for database activity monitoring and protection; timely patching of appliances and license renewal; monitoring and evaluating database incidents using Guardium; performing data discovery and classification with stakeholders; monitoring and auditing database activity including privileged user activity; analysing database risks and performing data analytics on existing logs; implementing backup, disaster recovery and data protection mechanisms; and implementing cybersecurity controls for on‑premises and cloud databases. The role requires scripting and automation skills and strong troubleshooting, analytical and technical writing abilities.

• Probation: selected candidate will undergo a 6 months probation period, extendable subject to performance.

Eligibility

• Education: Bachelor's (4 years) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, Information Security or Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or equivalent, from an HEC recognized university; degrees must be attested by HEC.

• Experience: Minimum 2 years post‑qualification experience in a reputable organization in Information Security, Information Technology, Database Administration or Network Device Administration.

• Preferred: Certification/badge in any IBM Security product or equivalent; information security certificates such as CySA+, Data+ or equivalent.

• Age limit: Maximum 37 years (5 years relaxation in age is already included in the above age limit).

• Government and semi‑government employees must provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at time of submission.

• Selected candidates must provide Medical Fitness and Character Certificates.
