Chairman (MP-I)

About the role

The Ministry of Science and Technology is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to serve as Chairman of the Pakistan Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (PCSIR). The role requires strong leadership, communication and management skills to lead a public sector organization under the administrative control of the Ministry. The appointment is on a contract basis for a tenure of three years. The salary package will be as per MP-I scale and as determined by the Finance Division.

Eligibility

• Educational qualification: Ph.D. degree in Natural or Applied Sciences; OR Master's degree in Natural or Applied Sciences.

• Post-qualification experience: For Ph.D. holders: 7 years of post-qualification experience in research, development and scientific work. For Master's degree holders: 9 years of post-qualification experience in research, development and scientific work.

• Experience in administration and financial management at senior level will be preferred.

• Nationality: Pakistani.

• Age: Maximum 62 years on the closing date of the advertisement.

• Domicile: Merit.

• Serving government officers may apply through proper channel; terms and conditions for selected serving officers will follow Finance Division instructions.
