About the role
Dr. Panjwani Center for Molecular Medicine and Drug Research, part of the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS) at the University of Karachi, is inviting applications for one Co-Director / Professor.
The Centre is looking for a leader who has shaped knowledge in their field. Candidates should have:
- successfully supervised postgraduate researchers
- secured national and international research and development grants
- built international academic and research links
- led research groups, centres, units, sections or major programmes
Candidates should also present a clear vision for the Centre's future growth, including research development, external funding and international collaboration.
The first appointment is for 4 years. It can be renewed based on academic and administrative performance, including winning major national and international funds for the growth of the institution.

Eligibility
- Degree: PhD in Molecular Medicine, Biomedical Sciences or Health Sciences from a university or institution recognised by HEC.
- Experience: At least 12 years of post-PhD teaching or research experience in a relevant field.
- Publications: Strong scientific publications in internationally abstracted impact factor journals in the relevant field, as required by the approved TTS statutes.
- Preferred: An h-index above 40 and more than 10,000 citations on Google Scholar.
- Desirable: Experience in molecular medicine, translational biomedical research or related fields.
