About the role

The University of Health Sciences Lahore (UHS) invites applications for multiple faculty and administrative positions on a contract basis. Appointments will follow UHS service statutes and selected candidates may be posted to any campus of the University. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in reputable public sector medical universities or institutions.

Posts and vacancies

• Professor (Medical Education) — 01 post, BPS-20

- Basic: MBBS or equivalent medical/dental qualification recognized/registered by PM&DC. - Postgraduate: Level II b or Level II postgraduate degree or diploma in Medical Education, Health Professions Education or related field recognized by PM&DC. - Experience: At least 3 years as Associate Professor in the respective subject OR 9 years teaching experience as Assistant Professor in the respective subject. - Research: Six research publications as Associate Professor; total fifteen publications in the relevant subject, six of which should be during the last three years. Level-II b holders shall be eligible to become Professor.

• Director, Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) — 01 post, BPS-20

- Qualification: MS/MPhil or equivalent (18 years) in Health/Medical Education, Life Sciences or Management Sciences recognized by HEC. - Experience: 12 years' experience in administration/management in an HEC-recognized public sector university/degree-awarding institute or public sector organization in BPS-17 or equivalent and above.

• Director, Assessment and Effectiveness (IQAE) — 01 post, BPS-20

- Qualification: Masters or equivalent (18 years) in Health/Medical Education, Life Sciences or Management Sciences recognized by HEC. - Experience: 15 years' experience in administration/management in an HEC-recognized public sector university/degree-awarding institute or public sector organization in BPS-17 or equivalent and above.

• Deputy Registrar — 01 post, BPS-18

- Qualification: M.A./M.Sc./MPA/MBA from HEC-recognized university with 5 years administrative experience OR MBBS with 5 years teaching/administrative experience.

• Deputy Controller of Examinations — 01 post, BPS-18

- Qualification: M.A./M.Sc./MPA/MBA from HEC-recognized university with 5 years administrative experience OR MBBS with 6 years teaching/administrative experience.

• Network Administrator — 01 post, BPS-17

- Qualification: MS in Computer Sciences or BE in Engineering from HEC-recognized university with 2–3 years' experience of network administration and management.

• Database Administrator — 01 post, BPS-17

- Qualification: MS in Computer Sciences / BCS / BE in Engineering from HEC-recognized university with 2–3 years' experience of database administration. Must have good oral and written communication and presentation skills; knowledge of database development tools, middleware, platforms and operating systems and multi-tier/client-server models.

Eligibility

• Only candidates with domicile of Punjab may apply.

• Only post-qualification experience will be considered where prescribed; equivalent experience in autonomous/semi-autonomous organizations or reputable private organizations may be counted as stated.

• Age limits are printed with the respective posts; relaxation in upper age limit may be granted as per statutes/rules of the Government of Punjab.

• Applicants working in public sector organizations/departments must apply through proper channel.

• Preference will be given to candidates with experience in reputable public sector medical universities/institutions.

How to apply

1. Applicants are required to apply online through the university job portal and must submit a signed hard copy / printout of the same pre-filled online application form to the Office of Human Resource Department, Room #12, University of Health Sciences, Khayaban-e-Jamia Punjab, Lahore. Fill the online application form carefully as no editing will be allowed after submission.
2. Print the system-generated fee challan and deposit the job application processing fee through 1Link or in any branch of Bank of Punjab. Approved fee: BPS-17 & above = Rs. 2,000/-. Applications submitted without the deposited system-generated fee challan will not be entertained. Deposited amount is non-refundable/non-transferable.
3. Attach and submit attested copies of CNIC, domicile, all educational documents/certificates, experience certificates and any other relevant documents along with the deposited system-generated fee challan.
4. Submit the printed online application form and all attached documents in person or via courier to the Office of Human Resource Department by the closing date.
