About the role

The University of Health Sciences (UHS) Lahore invites applications for multiple academic and administrative positions on a contract basis. UHS is a public sector university offering a professional working environment and equal opportunity employment. Appointments will be made as per UHS Service Statutes 2005 and selected candidates may be posted at any campus of the University.

Posts and vacancies

• Professor (Medical Education) — 1 post — BPS-20 — Age up to 55 years

- Basic qualification: MBBS or equivalent medical/dental qualification recognized/registered by PM&DC. - Postgraduate qualification: Level IIb or Level III postgraduate degree or diploma in Medical Education / Health Professions Education or related field recognized by PM&DC. - Experience: At least 3 years as Associate Professor in the respective subject OR 9 years teaching experience as Assistant Professor in the respective subject. - Research: Six research publications as Associate Professor are required in the relevant subject; a total of fifteen research publications in the relevant subject is required, of which six should be during the last three years.

• Director, Quality Enhancement & Institutional Assessment and Effectiveness (IQAE) — 1 post — BPS-20 — Age up to 55 years

- Option A: MS/MPhil or equivalent (18 years) in Health/Medical Education/Life Sciences/Management Sciences recognized by HEC with 12 years' administration/management experience in an HEC-recognized public sector university/institution or public sector organization in BPS-17 or equivalent and above. - Option B: Masters or equivalent (16 years) in the above fields recognized by HEC with 15 years' administration/management experience in an HEC-recognized public sector university/institution or public sector organization in BPS-17 or equivalent and above.

• Deputy Registrar — 1 post — BPS-18 — Age up to 55 years

- Qualification: M.A./M.Sc./MPA/MBA from an HEC-recognized university with 5 years administrative experience OR MBBS with 5 years teaching/administrative experience.

• Deputy Controller of Examinations — 1 post — BPS-18 — Age up to 55 years

- Qualification: M.A./M.Sc./MPA/MBA from an HEC-recognized university with 5 years administrative experience OR MBBS with 5 years teaching/administrative experience.

• Network Administrator — 1 post — BPS-17 — Age up to 55 years

- Qualification: MS in Computer Sciences / BE in Engineering from an HEC-recognized university with 2–3 years' experience in network administration and management.

• Database Administrator — 1 post — BPS-17 — Age up to 55 years

- Qualification: MS in Computer Sciences / BCS / BE in Engineering from an HEC-recognized university with 2–3 years' experience in database administration. - Skills: Good oral and written communication and presentation skills; in-depth knowledge of leading database development tools, middleware, hardware platforms and operating systems; familiarity with multi-tier vs client/server models and database technologies (transactional, relational, object-oriented & distributed databases).

Eligibility

• Only candidates with domicile of Punjab may apply.

• Only post-qualification experience will be considered where prescribed.

• Preference will be given to candidates with experience in a reputable public sector medical university/institution.

• Experience may include equivalent experience in an autonomous body, semi-autonomous organization, or a well-reputed private organization where applicable.

• Upper age limit for the advertised posts is stated as up to 55 years; relaxation in upper age limit may be granted as per statutes/rules of the Government of Punjab.

1. Applicants are required to apply online through the university job portal. Fill the online application form carefully as no editing will be allowed after submission.
2. Print the signed hard copy/printout of the same pre-filled online application form and submit it to the Office of Human Resource Department, Room #12, University of Health Sciences, Khayaban-e-Jamia Punjab, Lahore. Printed online application form along with all attached documents must be submitted in person or via courier.
3. Print the system-generated fee challan and deposit the job application processing fee through 1Link or in any branch of Bank of Punjab.
4. Attach attested copies of CNIC, domicile, all educational documents/certificates, experience certificates and any other relevant documents along with the deposited system-generated fee challan.
5. Application fee (approved rate): BPS-17 & above = Rs. 2,000/-. Applications submitted without the deposited system-generated fee challan will not be entertained. Deposited amount is non-refundable and non-transferable.

• Incomplete applications or applications received after the due date will not be accepted.

• The University reserves the right to increase, decrease or withdraw the vacancies or to conduct any test/screening for shortlisting candidates.

• No TA/DA is admissible.
