Faculty and Administrative Vacancies at University of Health Sciences (UHS) Lahore

About the role

The University of Health Sciences (UHS) Lahore invites applications from eligible candidates domiciled in Punjab for multiple faculty and administrative positions on a contract basis. Appointments will be made as per UHS Service Statutes 2005. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in reputable public sector medical universities or institutions. The University may conduct tests or screening for shortlisting and reserves the right to increase, decrease or withdraw vacancies.

Posts and vacancies

• Professor (Medical Education) — 01 post — BPS-20

- Required basic qualification: MBBS or equivalent medical/dental qualification recognized/registered by PM&DC. - Required postgraduate qualification: Level II b or Level III postgraduate degree or diploma in Medical Education, Health Professions Education or related field recognized by PM&DC. - Experience: At least 3 years as Associate Professor in the respective subject OR 9 years teaching experience as Assistant Professor in the respective subject. - Research publications: Six research publications as Associate Professor are required; a total of fifteen research publications in the relevant subject is required, of which six should be during the last three years. Level-II b holders shall be eligible to become Professor.

• Director, Quality Enhancement Cell / Institutional Assessment & Effectiveness (IQAE) — 01 post — BPS-20

- Qualification option 1: MS/MPhil or equivalent (18 years education) in Health/Medical Education/Life Sciences/Management Sciences recognized by HEC with 12 years' experience in administration/management in an HEC-recognized public sector university/degree-awarding institute or public sector organization in BPS-17 or equivalent and above. - Qualification option 2: Masters or equivalent (16 years education) in Health/Medical Education/Life Sciences/Management Sciences recognized by HEC with 15 years' experience in administration/management in an HEC-recognized public sector university/degree-awarding institute or public sector organization in BPS-17 or equivalent and above.

• Deputy Registrar — 01 post — BPS-18

- Qualification: M.A./M.Sc./MPA/MBA from HEC-recognized university with 5 years administrative experience OR MBBS with 5 years teaching/administrative experience.

• Deputy Controller of Examinations — 01 post — BPS-18

- Qualification: M.A./M.Sc./MPA/MBA from HEC-recognized university with 5 years administrative experience OR MBBS with 5 years teaching/administrative experience.

• Network Administrator — 01 post — BPS-17

- Qualification: MS in Computer Sciences or BE in Engineering from HEC-recognized university with 2–3 years' experience in network administration and management.

• Database Administrator — 01 post — BPS-17

- Qualification: MS in Computer Sciences / BCS / BE in Engineering from HEC-recognized university with 2–3 years' experience in database administration. - Required skills: Good oral and written communication and presentation skills; in-depth knowledge of database development tools, middleware, hardware platforms and operating systems; familiarity with multi-tier vs client/server models and database technologies (transactional, relational, object oriented, distributed).

Eligibility

• Only candidates domiciled in Punjab are eligible to apply.

• Specified educational qualifications and post-qualification experience apply to each post as listed above. Only post-qualification experience will be considered.

• Where experience is prescribed, equivalent experience in the profession or in service of an autonomous/semi-autonomous organization or well reputed private organization will be included.

• Age limits are stated for individual posts in the advertisement. Relaxation in upper age limit may be granted as per statutes/rules of the Government of Punjab.

1) Apply online through the university job portal and submit a signed hardcopy/printout of the pre-filed online application form to the Office of Human Resource Department, Room #12, University of Health Sciences, Khayaban-e-Jamia Punjab, Lahore-54600. Fill the online application carefully as no editing will be allowed after submission.

2) Print the system-generated fee challan and deposit the job application processing fee through 1Link or at any branch of Bank of Punjab.

3) Attach attested copies of CNIC, domicile, all educational documents/certificates, experience certificates and any other relevant documents along with the deposited system-generated fee challan.

4) Application fee (as advertised): BPS-17 & above — Rs. 2,000. Applications submitted without the deposited system-generated fee challan will not be entertained. Deposited amount is non-refundable/non-transferable.

5) Submit the printed online application form and all attached documents in person or via courier to the Office of Human Resource Department, Room #12, University of Health Sciences, Khayaban-e-Jamia Punjab, Lahore-54600.
