About the role

The University of Health Sciences Lahore (UHS) invites applications for multiple posts on contract basis. UHS is a public sector university offering a professional working environment and opportunities for growth. Appointments will be made on contract as per UHS Service Statutes 2005. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in reputable public sector medical universities or institutions.

Posts and vacancies

1. Professor (Medical Education) — 1 post — BPS-20
- Required basic qualification: MBBS or equivalent medical/dental qualification recognized/registered by PM&DC.
- Postgraduate qualification: postgraduate degree or diploma in Medical Education, Health Professions Education or related field recognized by PM&DC.
- Experience: At least 3 years as Associate Professor in the respective subject OR 9 years teaching experience as Assistant Professor in the respective subject.
- Research: Six research publications as Associate Professor are required; a total of 15 research publications in the relevant subject is noted, of which six should be in the last three years.

2. Director Quality Enhancement / Institutional Quality Assessment & Effectiveness (IQAE) — 1 post — BPS-20
- Qualification option A: MS/MPhil or equivalent degree (18 years education) in Health/Medical Education, Life Sciences, or Management Sciences from an HEC-recognized university with 12 years' experience in administration/management in an HEC-recognized public sector university, degree-awarding institute or public sector organization at BPS-17 or equivalent and above.
- Qualification option B: Masters or equivalent degree (16 years education) in the listed fields with 15 years' experience in administration/management in similar institutions.

3. Deputy Registrar — 1 post — BPS-18
- Qualifications: M.A./M.Sc./MPA/MBA from an HEC-recognized university with 5 years' administrative experience OR MBBS with 5 years' teaching/administrative experience.

4. Deputy Controller of Examinations — 1 post — BPS-18
- Qualifications: M.A./M.Sc./MPA/MBA from an HEC-recognized university with 5 years' administrative experience OR MBBS with 5 years' teaching/administrative experience.

5. Network Administrator — 1 post — BPS-17
- Qualifications: MS in Computer Sciences or BE in Engineering from an HEC-recognized university with 2–3 years' experience in network administration and management.

6. Database Administrator — 1 post — BPS-17
- Qualifications: MS in Computer Sciences, BCS, or BE in Engineering from an HEC-recognized university with 2–3 years' experience in database administration.
- Skills: Good oral and written communication and presentation skills; in-depth knowledge of leading database technologies, development tools, middleware, hardware platforms and operating systems; familiarity with multi-tier and client/server software models and database technologies.

Eligibility

• Only candidates domiciled in Punjab are eligible to apply.

• Upper age limit for the advertised posts is up to 55 years; relaxation in upper age limit may be granted to suitable candidates as per statutes/rules of the Government of Punjab.

• Only post-qualification experience shall be considered for eligibility. Where prescribed, experience may include equivalent experience in a profession or in the service of an autonomous body, semi-autonomous organization, or a well reputed private organization.

• Preference will be given to candidates with experience in a reputable public sector medical university/institution.

• Applicants working in public sector organizations/departments must apply through the proper channel.

1. Apply online through the university job portal and submit the signed hard copy / printout of the pre-filled online application form to the Office of Human Resource Department, Room #12, University of Health Sciences, Khayaban-e-Jamia Punjab, Lahore-54600. Fill the online application form carefully as no editing will be allowed after submission.
2. Print the system-generated fee challan and deposit the job application processing fee through 1Link or at any branch of Bank of Punjab.
3. Attach and submit attested copies of CNIC, domicile, all educational documents/certificates, experience certificates and any other relevant documents along with the deposited system-generated fee challan.
- Approved fee: BPS-17 & above = Rs. 2,000/-. Deposited amount is non-refundable and non-transferable. Applications submitted without deposited system-generated fee challan will not be entertained.
4. Submit the printed online application form and all attached documents in person or via courier to the Office of Human Resource Department, Room #12, University of Health Sciences, Khayaban-e-Jamia Punjab, Lahore-54600.
