IT Management Vacancies at Medical Teaching Institution Nowshera

About the role

Medical Teaching Institution, Nowshera (MTI Nowshera) invites applications for three senior IT posts. Its constituent units are Qazi Hussain Ahmad Medical Complex and Nowshera Medical College. MTI Nowshera is an autonomous body run by a Board of Governors under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Medical Teaching Institutions Reform Act 2015, as amended in 2026 by the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Eligibility

1. Assistant Manager (Computer Systems & Networks)

• Qualification: BS (4 years) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering, or an equivalent qualification, from an HEC-recognised university.

• Experience: At least 5 years of planning, implementing, administering, troubleshooting and maintaining enterprise IT infrastructure in a reputable organisation, preferably a tertiary care hospital or healthcare institution. This experience should cover:

- enterprise LAN/WAN and wireless networks - Windows Server administration - virtualisation (VMware/Hyper-V) - Active Directory - enterprise storage (SAN/NAS) - backup and disaster recovery - network security and firewalls - data centre operations

• Mandatory certification: One of the following:

- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) - Cisco Certified Specialist - Microsoft Certified (Windows Server/Azure Administration) - CCNP

• Added advantage:

- VMware Certified Associate (Data Center Virtualization) - Fortinet Certified Associate (FCA) NSE - ITIL Foundation - CompTIA Network+ or Security+ - Palo Alto Networks certification - IBM, Dell EMC, HPE or equivalent infrastructure certifications

2. Assistant Manager (Software & Web Development)

• Qualification: BS (4 years) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or Computer Engineering, or an equivalent qualification, from an HEC-recognised university.

• Experience: At least 5 years in a reputable public or private organisation, covering:

- enterprise software development - web application development - database design - application support - system integration - software project implementation

• Preferred experience: Leading software development teams and managing web-based projects.

• Added advantage:

- Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate or DevOps Engineer Expert - AWS Certified Developer – Associate - Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Oracle APEX certification - ITIL Foundation - Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), CompTIA Security+ or an equivalent cyber security certification

3. Database Manager

• Qualification: BS (4 years) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering, or an equivalent qualification, from an HEC-recognised university.

• Experience: At least 5 years in a reputable public or private organisation, covering:

- database administration and design - performance tuning - backup and recovery, and disaster recovery - database security and support

• Preferred experience:

- Oracle Database and Oracle APEX - healthcare information systems (HMIS) - ERP systems and other enterprise database environments - planning and implementing high-availability database solutions, database migration and disaster recovery environments

• Added advantage:

- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) – Database Administration - Oracle Database Administration Certified Associate or Professional - Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate - Microsoft SQL Server certification - Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) certification - Linux administration certification (RHCSA/RHCE)

General conditions

• Experience marks: Awarded only for relevant experience gained after obtaining the required degree.

• Civil servants: Must attach a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their parent department, or they will be considered ineligible. A selected civil servant must submit evidence of accepted resignation from the civil service within 90 days of joining. Failing this, their service will be terminated from the start without notice.

• Disqualification: A candidate may be disqualified or barred from the interview if he or she:

- has been convicted by a court of law - has been dismissed from public service - knowingly gives false information or hides information that would lead to disqualification - tries to gain support for his or her candidature by improper means - submits forged certificates - tampers with entries in age or academic certificates - misbehaves in the interview

2. Pay the fee. The fee is Rs 2,000. Pay it by online deposit slip, or by bank draft or payment order in favour of the Hospital Director, MTI Nowshera.

3. Attach these documents to the completed form:
- complete bio-data
- attested copies of academic, experience and domicile certificates
- two recent photographs

- an NOC from the parent department, if you are a civil servant
4. Submit the application. Deliver it in person or send it by registered courier to the HR Department, MTI (NMC/QHAMC), Nowshera.

Applications that arrive after the closing date will not be accepted. This applies to courier deliveries even if the fee was paid on time.

Important dates

• Closing date: 31 October 2026, which is 15 days from publication on 16 October 2026. If the closing date falls on an official holiday, the next working day will be the closing date.

• Shortlisting: Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview. Shortlisting will be based on pre-interview marks.

• Interview: Bring your original documents. No travel or daily allowance (TA/DA) is paid for attending the test or interview.

• The competent authority may cancel any post as MTI Nowshera requires.
