About the role

The Government Shipping Office, Karachi, under the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, invites applications for a Lower Division Clerk on a regular basis. Recruitment is open to candidates holding a Balochistan Local/Domicile Certificate.

Eligibility

Applicants must have Matriculation and a typing speed of 30 words per minute. A three-week basic IT training course, including MS Office, will be conducted by NITB after selection and must be completed before the end of the probation period.

The age limit is 18–25 years. Five years of general age relaxation and an additional five years of relaxation for candidates from Balochistan apply, bringing the maximum age to 35 years.

Only candidates possessing a Balochistan Local/Domicile Certificate are eligible, in accordance with the Establishment Division's instructions concerning the Balochistan Federal Employment Facilitation Cell (BEFC), 2026, through letter No. 2/5/2026-BEFC-001 dated 27 October 2026. Preference will be given under the 10% women quota in line with Establishment Division directions.

How to apply

Submit an application at the respective District Employment Cell or through the National Job Portal at njp.gov.pk, using the dedicated tab created for this recruitment exercise. Direct applications to the Government Shipping Office, Karachi, will not be entertained.

Recruitment will take place at district level in Balochistan with the assistance of newly established District Employment Cells to facilitate recruitment of residents. Selection will be through a walk-in interview process, without an entry or written test. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview.

At the interview, applicants must present their original documents and one set of attested copies of their Matriculation certificate issued by a recognized board, CNIC and domicile certificate. Fake documents or false information will result in cancellation of recruitment or employment at any stage of the career.

The Government Shipping Office reserves the right to modify or cancel the recruitment process at any stage. No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the interview.
