About the role
The Shrimp Aquaculture Project Management Unit invites applications for contract appointments under the development project “Aquaculture: Shrimp Farming in Punjab” (2024–25 to 2027–28). The posts are based in Muzaffargarh and Lahore and carry project pay scales from PPS-02 to PPS-05.
Appointments will initially be for one year and may be extended up to the project's gestation period, ending on 30 June 2028. Annual increments will be granted according to the approved PPS criteria. Selected candidates will have no claim to regularization or permanent appointment against these posts.

Eligibility
Candidates must hold a domicile of Punjab Province. The following qualifications and experience apply:
- Research Assistant: B.Sc. in Zoology, Biology, Fisheries or Aquaculture, with second division, from a recognized university; or a four-year/eight-semester B.Sc. or BS (Hons) with Zoology as a major subject, with second division or a CGPA of 2.5, from a recognized university.
- Documentation Assistant: Intermediate with second division from a recognized board and a typing speed of 25 words per minute. Preference will be given to candidates who can also type in Urdu at 25 words per minute.
- Drone Operator: Intermediate with second division from a recognized board and at least three years of experience operating drones, capturing videos and photographs, and editing them in a reputable public- or private-sector organization.
- Electrical Technician: Matric with Science, with second division, from a recognized board, together with an Electrician Certificate from a recognized government institute or board.
- Chauffeur: Middle pass, a valid LTV driving licence and three years of experience.
- Overseer: F.Sc. Pre-Medical with second division from a recognized board.
- Tractor Operator: Matric, a valid driving licence and three years of experience in tractor operation and maintenance. Candidates must have passed the tractor test.
- Plumber: Matric and three years of experience in tubewell, piping and drainage operation and maintenance.
- Tubewell Technician: Matric with second division from a recognized board and three years of experience maintaining and operating tubewells or lift pumps, both electric and diesel.
General relaxation in the upper age limit is available under the Government of Punjab S&GAD notification dated 8 August 2016: five years for male candidates and eight years for female candidates.
In-service candidates must apply through the proper channel, obtain a Departmental Permission Certificate or NOC when submitting their application, and present it at the interview if shortlisted.

The hard-copy documents must reach the office by 5:00 PM on 16 November 2026. Clearly write the name of the post on both the application and the envelope. Candidates applying for multiple posts must submit a separate application for each post.
Both the online application and the required hard-copy documents are mandatory. Incomplete applications and applications received after the relevant deadline will be rejected without notice.
Candidates may be shortlisted on the basis of eligibility and relevant experience. The Selection Committee's decision will be final. Shortlisted candidates must bring their original documents to the interview. Test or interview dates will be communicated through the candidate's supplied email address or contact number. No TA/DA will be paid for a test or interview.
The competent authority may cancel the recruitment process at any stage without assigning a reason. Candidates are advised to remain in contact with the office for updates.
