About the role

A Public Sector Organization is hiring competent and dedicated workers on a contingent basis for shutdown activity only. Selected candidates will be engaged on fixed wages for a period of 80 to 110 days and will be posted at Karachi for the duration of the assignment. Walk-in interviews will be held as per the schedule below; candidates must attend between 08:00 AM and 02:00 PM with original documents and one attested copy.

Eligibility

• Age: Candidates must be at least 18 years and not more than 35 years of age. Age relaxation may be granted for candidates with technical expertise and relevant shutdown/turnaround maintenance experience in chemical, petrochemical or power plants.

• Educational and experience requirements (as advertised):

- Sr. Tech (Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation & Control): B.Tech (pass) OR 3-year Diploma as Associate Engineer or equivalent (1st Division). B.Tech: no experience; Diploma holders: 4 years' relevant experience. - Tech-1 (Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation & Control): 3-year Diploma as Associate Engineer (1st Division) in relevant field from a recognized Polytechnic Institute. - Sr. Tech (Mechanical/HVAC): B.Tech (pass) OR 3-year Diploma as Associate Engineer or equivalent (1st Division). B.Tech: no experience; Diploma holders: 4 years' relevant experience. - Tech-1 (Mechanical/HVAC/Chemical/Civil): 3-year Diploma as Associate Engineer (1st Division) in relevant field from a recognized Polytechnic Institute. - Tech-1 (Chemical/Civil): 3-year Diploma as Associate Engineer (1st Division) in relevant field from a recognized Polytechnic Institute. - Scientific Assistant-1 (Physics/Chemistry): B.Sc. (1st Division). - Jr. Assistant-I (Admin/Accounts): B.Com / BBA / BCS (two years) or BA / B.Sc in relevant field (1st Division). Relevant experience preferred. - Caretaker-III: Intermediate; 3 years' experience. - Driver-III: Matric with Civil Driving License with HTV; minimum height required 168 cm; 3 years' experience. - Special Vehicle Operator: Matric with HTV Civil Driving License and trade test in operation of special vehicle. For ex-servicemen, minimum T.T class II course in operation of relevant vehicle. 3 years' experience. - Cook-II / Tandoorchi / Walter-II: Middle; 6 years' experience.

• Only candidates who fulfill the prescribed eligibility criteria should appear for interview.

• Where a 1st Division is required, only one 2nd Division in the entire academic career is acceptable; qualification may be relaxed for candidates with technical expertise and experience in the relevant field.

• Experience will only be considered if acquired after the minimum prescribed qualification.

• All educational certificates, diplomas and degrees must be from government-recognized institutions.

• Walk-in interviews for posts at Sr. No. 07 to 11 (Jr. Assistant-I, Caretaker-III, Driver-III, Special Vehicle Operator, Cook-II / Tandoorchi / Walter-II) will be conducted at Karachi only.

• No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing in the interview.
