About the role
Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Karachi invites applications for sports coaching and support posts. The opportunities cover swimming, table tennis, snooker, sports facility support and lifeguarding.
Posts and vacancies
- Swimming Coach (Female): Intermediate qualification and a recognized swimming coaching course or certificate. Applicants must have at least five years of swimming coaching experience, preferably in a four- to five-star hotel, club or swimming center.
- Table Tennis Coach (Male): Intermediate qualification and a national coaching course in tennis. Applicants must have at least five years of tennis coaching experience in a club or coaching center.
- Snooker Coach (Male): Intermediate qualification and a national coaching course in snooker. Applicants must have at least five years of snooker coaching experience in a club or coaching center.
- Sports Attendant (Male): Intermediate education and a sports-related course or certificate are preferred. Three to five years of experience in a club, five-star hotel or sports complex is preferred.
- Lifeguard (Male/Female): Intermediate education is preferred. Applicants require a recognized lifeguard or lifesaving qualification and First Aid and CPR certification. Three to five years of lifeguarding experience in a club, five-star hotel, swimming pool or sports complex is preferred.
Eligibility
The maximum age for all posts is 40 years.
The Swimming Coach must be a proficient swimmer who can teach beginners and advanced swimmers, with knowledge of swimming strokes, training methods and pool safety. Lifesaving, First Aid or CPR qualifications are preferred.
Table Tennis Coach and Snooker Coach applicants must have good communication skills. Ranking players will be preferred.
The Sports Attendant must understand sports equipment, court preparation, equipment issuance and maintenance. Applicants must be physically fit and have good communication and member-dealing skills.
Lifeguards must have excellent swimming and rescue ability and must pass practical rescue, casualty towing or retrieval, and CPR tests. They must remain alert and respond effectively in emergencies.
