About the role
The Office of the District Health Officer, District Umerkot, invites applications from candidates holding a District Umerkot domicile for initial recruitment to BPS-01 through BPS-04 posts in the Health Department. These vacancies are reflected in the Budget Book for Financial Year 2026-27.
Recruitment is being undertaken in compliance with the Honourable High Court of Sindh, Circuit Court, Mirpurkhas order dated 19 May 2026 in C.P. Nos. D-324, D-397, D-446 and D-447 of 2026, and the Cabinet decision dated 1 December 2025, communicated by the Section Officer-V, SGA&CD, Government of Sindh, through letter No. SOV(SGA&CD)8-27/2019 (Pt-IV) (Volume), dated 3 December 2025.
The vacancies are initially temporary and will become permanent after completion of the probation period under the Sindh Services (Appointment, Promotion & Transfer) Rules, 1973.

The number of vacancies may be increased or decreased at any stage. Candidates will have no right to challenge changes to the vacancy numbers.
Eligibility
Candidates must hold a District Umerkot domicile. The age limit for every post is 18 to 28 years. General relaxation of five years in the upper age limit is admissible under the Government rules and policy in force, as communicated through Notification No. SOII(SGA&CD)5-64/2011(Part-II), dated 6 March 2025.
Government of Sindh quota rules and policy apply, including 5% for persons with disabilities, 15% for women, 5% for minorities and 0.5% for transgender candidates.
For Sanitary Worker posts, only non-Muslim professional sanitation workers may apply or be appointed. This condition follows the Honourable Court's order in C.P. No. D-2015 and C.P. No. 1137/2015, dated 6 September 2017, circulated through No. SO(IT)HD/2-38/2015, dated 25 September 2017.
Applicants already in Government service must apply through their respective departments and the proper channel. Canvassing in any form will result in disqualification.
How to apply
Submit an application in the prescribed format to the District Health Office Umerkot. Attach two passport-size photographs and attested copies of academic qualification certificates, CNIC, domicile, PRC, driving licence and experience certificate, where required.
