Teaching, Technical and Support Staff Vacancies at WAPDA

About the role

The Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) invites applications from suitable candidates for teaching, technical and support positions. The recruitment includes posts associated with offices in Lahore.

Initial appointment will be subject to a one-year probationary period. Confirmation will depend on satisfactory performance. Candidates will be shortlisted under WAPDA recruitment rules, and selection will involve a test and interview.

Posts and vacancies

• Teachers: Four vacancies in grade 16, covering English, Mathematics, Islamic Studies and Urdu.

• Librarian: One vacancy in grade 15.

• Lab Assistant: Two vacancies in grade 07.

• Driver (LTV): Three vacancies in grade 08.

• Driver (LTV): One additional vacancy in grade 08.

• Fitter: One vacancy in grade 11.

Eligibility

The age limit for the teaching posts is up to 35 years. The Librarian, Lab Assistant and Fitter posts carry an age range of 18–30 years. The Driver posts carry an age range of 25–35 years.

Teaching qualifications include a relevant master's degree in the second division or a four-year bachelor's degree with a minimum CGPA of 2.5 out of 4. Relevant professional education qualifications are also listed.

The Librarian post requires a qualification in Library Science or Library and Information Science. The Lab Assistant posts require Matriculation with Science.

Educational qualifications must be from recognised institutions. Government employees must apply through the proper channel and obtain the required permission or no-objection certificate. Age relaxation will be considered under the applicable rules.
