About the role

The Ministry of Science and Technology is seeking a Chairman to head the Pakistan Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (PCSIR) in Islamabad. The post will lead the public sector organization under the administrative control of the Ministry and requires strong leadership, communication and management skills. The appointment is on a contract basis for a tenure of three years.

• Salary package: MP-I scale as determined by the Finance Division.

• Place of duty: Pakistan Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (PCSIR), Islamabad.

Eligibility

• Qualifications: Ph.D. in Natural or Applied Sciences OR Master’s degree in Natural or Applied Sciences.

• Post-qualification experience: For Ph.D.: 7 years in research, development and scientific work. For Master’s degree: 9 years in research, development and scientific work.

• Experience in administration and financial management at senior level will be preferred.

• Nationality: Pakistani.

• Age limit: Maximum 62 years on the closing date of the advertisement.

• Domicile: Merit.

• Tenure: 3 years contract.
