Company Secretary (OPF Grade-11)

About the role

Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF) invites applications from eligible candidates for the post of Company Secretary (OPF Grade-11). OPF is a state-owned enterprise established under Section 42 of the Companies Act, 2017. Its mandate covers registered overseas members and their families in Pakistan, including Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Since its inception, OPF has supported overseas Pakistanis in education, housing, welfare and financial assistance, and has provided facilitation at all international airports in Pakistan.

The position is based in Islamabad. The selected candidate will be offered a two-year contract, which can be extended based on performance. The roles and responsibilities of the position are available on the recruitment website named below.

Remuneration is negotiable and commensurate with experience. Benefits and allowances will be admissible under the applicable rules and regulations.

Eligibility

Qualification: Candidates must meet one of the following:

• Membership of a recognised body of professional accountants; or

• Membership of a recognised body of corporate or chartered secretaries; or

• A master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Commerce or Law, or an equivalent qualification, from an HEC-recognised university.

Experience: At least 10 years of relevant post-qualification experience overall, including at least 5 years as a Company Secretary, particularly in corporate governance, the SOE governance framework, regulatory compliance and company secretarial practice.

Age limit: Maximum 50 years. Age will be calculated as of the closing date for applications.

Other requirements:

• The candidate must meet the "fit and proper" criteria set out in Schedule-IV of the SOEs Act, 2023.

• The candidate must have strong communication skills, high integrity, professionalism, a commitment to transparency, and good organisational and interpersonal skills.

• The candidate must be proficient in legal drafting and corporate documentation.

• Eligibility will be determined according to the criteria above and the applicable laws, rules, guidelines and procedures.
