Contingent Shutdown Staff Vacancies at Public Sector Organization (Karachi)

About the role

A Public Sector Organization is hiring workers on a contingent basis for shutdown activities. Appointments are fixed-wage, short-term engagements for a period of 80 to 110 days. Selected candidates will be posted at Karachi for the duration of the assignment. Walk-in interviews will be held at the locations and on the dates listed below. Candidates must bring original documents and one copy of attested documents and appear between 08:00 AM and 02:00 PM as per the schedule.

1. Sr. Tech (Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation & Control)
- Fixed wages: Rs 82,268 per month
- Qualification: B.Tech (pass) OR 3-year Diploma of Associate Engineer (1st Division)
- Experience: B.Tech — nil; Diploma — 4 years relevant experience as stated

2. Tech-1 (Electrical / Instrumentation & Control)
- Fixed wages: Rs 64,277 per month
- Qualification: 3-year Diploma of Associate Engineer (1st Division) in relevant field from a recognized Polytechnic Institute

3. Sr. Tech (Mechanical / HVAC)
- Fixed wages: Rs 82,268 per month
- Qualification: B.Tech (pass) OR 3-year Diploma of Associate Engineer (1st Division)
- Experience: B.Tech — nil; Diploma — 4 years relevant experience as stated

4. Tech-1 (Mechanical / HVAC / Chemical / Civil)
- Fixed wages: Rs 64,277 per month
- Qualification: 3-year Diploma of Associate Engineer (1st Division) in relevant field from a recognized Polytechnic Institute

5. Tech-1 (Chemical / Civil)
- Fixed wages: Rs 64,277 per month
- Qualification: 3-year Diploma of Associate Engineer (1st Division) in relevant field from a recognized Polytechnic Institute

6. Scientific Assistant-1 (Physics / Chemistry)
- Fixed wages: Rs 64,277 per month
- Qualification: B.Sc. (1st Division)

7. Jr. Assistant-I (Admin / Accounts)
- Fixed wages: Rs 59,453 per month
- Qualification: B.Com / BBA / BCS (two years) OR BA / B.Sc in relevant field (1st Division)
- Note: Relevant experience will be preferred

8. Caretaker-II
- Fixed wages: Rs 58,053 per month
- Qualification: Intermediate
- Experience: 3 years

9. Driver-III
- Fixed wages: Rs 48,639 per month
- Qualification: Matric with HTV civil driving license and trade test in operation of special vehicle
- Experience: 3 years
- Minimum height required: 168 cm

10. Special Vehicle Operator
- Fixed wages: Rs 48,639 per month
- Qualification / requirement: For ex-servicemen with minimum T.T. class II course in operation of relevant vehicle
- Experience: 3 years

11. Cook / Tandoorchi / Waiter-II
- Fixed wages: Rs 48,639 per month
- Qualification: Middle
- Experience: 6 years

Eligibility

• Candidates must be between 18 and 35 years of age. Age may be relaxed for candidates with technical expertise and relevant experience, particularly in shutdowns, turnaround maintenance of chemical/petrochemical/power plants.

• Only candidates who fulfill the prescribed eligibility criteria may appear in the interview.

• Where the prescribed qualification states 1st Division in the final degree/certificate, only one 2nd Division in the entire academic career will be acceptable. Qualification may be relaxed for technical expertise and relevant experience.

• Experience will only be considered if acquired after the minimum prescribed qualification for the post.

• Educational certificates, diplomas and degrees must be obtained from government-recognized institutions.

• Walk-in interviews for posts at Sr. No. 07 to 11 will be conducted at Karachi only.

• No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing in the interview.
