Management and Support Staff Vacancies at Hayatabad Medical Complex (MTI-HMC)

About the role

The Medical Teaching Institution Hayatabad Medical Complex (MTI-HMC) / KGMC Hayatabad, Peshawar, and its constituents invite applications for eleven management, technical and support posts. Candidates from all over Pakistan are eligible to apply.

All posts are on a contract basis. The Nursing Manager contract runs for five years, and all other contracts run for three years. All contracts are extendable. Employees will be placed according to the Institutional Pay Scale (IPS) at MTI-HMC and its affiliated institutes. Their services will be governed by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Medical and Teaching Institutions Reform Act 2015 and the relevant rules and regulations, as amended from time to time.

Eligibility

Manager IT/MIS: MS in Computer Science, or 18 years of education in computer science or information technology. Candidates need at least 7 years of experience with Oracle databases and programming related to hospitals. They should have worked on layer three networks and have good knowledge of servers, databases, applications, domains, installation, configuration and load balancing. Knowledge of IT procurement and ERP implementation is also required. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in an MTI.

Manager Operation Theater: MBBS or equivalent, or a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, or a BS in Surgical, Anesthesia or Intensive Care from an HEC-recognized university or institution. Candidates need at least 5 years of experience, including 2 years as OT supervisor, in-charge or head in a teaching or reputable hospital. Preference will be given to medical practitioners with a higher diploma, such as MCPS in Surgery and allied fields or equivalent.

Manager Biomedical Engineering: BSc or BE in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering, with registration with the Pakistan Engineering Council. Candidates need at least 6 years of biomedical and electro-medical experience in a hospital of at least 200 beds. This must include 1 year at manager or assistant manager level. Applicants must be fully conversant with patient care and medical equipment in operating units, intensive care, clinical labs, and therapeutic, diagnostic and all other biomedical units. They also need hands-on experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of medical equipment.

Nursing Manager: Candidates must meet one of the following:

• (a) An MS Nursing degree from a recognized institution with 5 years of experience.

• (b) A BSN or Post RN BSN with an MPH, MSPH, MHA or other relevant Master's degree equivalent to 18 years of schooling, with 6 years of experience.

• (c) A BSN or Post RN BSN with 7 years of experience.

In each case, the experience must include 2 years as RN-III, Head Nurse or an equivalent position. BLS, ACLS and PALS certification is mandatory.

Laundry Supervisor: A BS or equivalent degree from an HEC-recognized university or institute, with PEC registration. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree with an Associate Diploma in Mechanical or Electronics Engineering from a recognized board. Candidates need at least 5 years of experience as a Laundry Manager or Sterilization Assistant in a public, semi-autonomous, autonomous or private sector organization or hospital. No experience is required for candidates with a BS degree in a relevant subject.

Receptionist: A BS (Honours) degree in Mass Communication, English or a relevant subject from an HEC-recognized university or institution. Candidates need at least 1 year of experience as a receptionist in a reputable public or private sector organization, institution or hospital.

Incinerator Operator: An Associate Diploma or Certificate in the relevant field from a recognized board or institution. Candidates need at least 2 years of experience as an incinerator operator in a public, semi-autonomous, autonomous or private sector organization.

Autoclave Operator: A Specialized Diploma in Sterilization from a recognized board or institution. Candidates need at least 2 years of relevant experience in a reputable public or private sector organization, institution or hospital.

Plumber: Matriculation from a recognized board, or middle school education. Candidates need 1 to 3 years of experience as a plumber in a public, semi-autonomous, autonomous or private sector organization or commercial firm.

CCTV Camera Operator: SSC from a recognized institute. Candidates need at least 3 years of CCTV maintenance and troubleshooting experience.

Security Guard: Candidates must meet one of the following:

• A retired Sepoy, Naik or Havildar from the Pakistan Armed Forces. Preference will be given to local candidates.

• SSC from a recognized board. Two years of relevant security experience is preferred.

General conditions:

• Preference will be given to non-civil servant applicants.

• Civil servants are eligible only if non-civil servant candidates are not available, provided their salary comes from their civil service post.

• Experience marks will be given only for experience in the relevant subject or field.

A candidate may be disqualified or excluded from the interview for any of the following reasons:

• Conviction by a court of law.

• Dismissal from public service.

• Knowingly giving false information.

• Suppressing information that may lead to disqualification.

• Seeking support for their candidature by improper means.

• Submitting forged certificates.

• Tampering with entries in their age or academic certificates.

• Misbehaving in the interview.

2. Pay the non-refundable application fee:
- Posts 1 to 5: Rs. 1,000
- Posts 6 to 11: Rs. 500
3. Pay the fee by bank draft or pay order in favour of the Hospital Director, MTI-HMC. Alternatively, deposit it directly at the Bank of Khyber, HMC Branch (Branch Code 5185), Receipt Account No. PLS-3002107103.
4. Attach the following documents, duly attested:
- Complete bio-data
- Academic, experience and domicile certificates
- Two recent photographs
- A photocopy of your CNIC
5. Submit the completed form to the HR Department, MTI-HMC, Peshawar, either in person or by registered courier.

Applications that arrive after the closing date will be rejected, even if the fee was paid on time.

Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview. Shortlisting will be based on pre-interview marks. Candidates must bring their original documents to the interview. No TA/DA will be paid for the test or interview. The competent authority may cancel any post according to the requirements of MTI-HMC.
