About the role

National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) is recruiting experienced professionals for multiple positions in the area of Risk Management based in Karachi. Selected candidates will be employed on a contractual basis for three years, renewable at the discretion of management. Only shortlisted candidates strictly meeting the basic eligibility criteria will be invited for a test and/or panel interview. No TA/DA will be admissible for test/interview. Posts and vacancies

• Officer Risk Review (OG-II / OG-I)

- Reporting to: Wing Head - Risk Review - SME Risk and RMG HR & Administration Division - Responsibilities include independent review of SME and Commercial credit approvals processed under delegated authorities, risk-based post-approval reviews for compliance with internal credit policies and SBP Prudential Regulations, identification of policy deviations and documentation deficiencies, recommending corrective actions, and follow-up on closure of risk review observations.

• Credit Analyst (OG-II / OG-1)

- Reporting to: Wing Head - Risk SME - SME Risk and RMG HR & Administration - Responsibilities include analysis of credit proposals, assessment of obligor creditworthiness, cash flow and ratio analysis, collateral/security assessment, portfolio analysis, supporting due diligence, assisting audits, and preparing approval recommendations.

• Processing Officer (OG-III / OG-II)

- Reporting to: Chief Credit Officer - Retail & Program Lending Division - Responsibilities include managing divisional calendar and daily office operations, preparing and filing approval notes and regulatory documents, maintaining electronic and physical filing systems, coordinating logistics, tracking divisional expenses, supporting hiring workflows, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.

Eligibility

• Educational requirement (all roles): Minimum graduation or equivalent from a local or international university/college/institute recognized by the HEC of Pakistan. Candidates with a Master’s degree and/or relevant certifications will be preferred.

• Officer Risk Review: Minimum 3 years of banking experience in credit risk management, credit approvals, credit review, commercial banking or SME banking within a commercial bank. Preference for hands-on experience in independent credit review, portfolio monitoring, delegated credit approval, regulatory compliance and policy implementation. Strong knowledge of commercial and SME credit risk assessment and SBP Prudential Regulations; proficiency in MS Office and MIS reporting tools; strong analytical, investigative and report writing skills.

• Credit Analyst: Minimum 3 years of banking experience in commercial and/or SME, on the business side and/or risk management side in a commercial bank. Skills required include credit and financial statement analysis, knowledge of SME financing products, understanding of collateral types and security assessments, knowledge of SBP Prudential Regulations, good interpersonal skills and MS Office proficiency.

• Processing Officer: Minimum 2 years of banking experience including at least 1 year in a similar role or support function. Basic knowledge of MS Office, good verbal and written communication, organizational and time management skills, ability to multitask and maintain confidentiality.
