Segment Head – Digital Fraud Risk Management (Band-5 to Band-3)

About the role

The Bank of Punjab invites applications for Segment Head – Digital Fraud Risk Management in its Fraud Risk Management Division, Compliance & Control Group, in Lahore. The bank has operated for more than 35 years and has a network of over 900 branches across Pakistan. The position carries market-based competitive remuneration.

The successful candidate will:

• Develop, implement and periodically review the bank's digital fraud risk management policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with State Bank of Pakistan regulations, internal policies and industry best practices.

• Oversee continuous monitoring of digital transactions under standard operating procedures for timely escalation and mitigation of fraud risk. Provide strategic oversight of fraud detection rules, analytics and monitoring tools, and track emerging fraud trends and vulnerabilities to recommend control enhancements.

• Present periodic updates on digital fraud risk, losses and control effectiveness to senior management through FRMC. Lead digital fraud risk assessments for new and existing products, services, delivery channels, processes, standard operating procedures and digital initiatives, ensuring appropriate preventive and detective controls.

• Develop and oversee management reporting dashboards and management information systems to deliver timely, accurate and actionable reports. Ensure complete regulatory and BAC/BOD reporting on fraud, forgery and dacoity in accordance with applicable requirements and bank policy.

• Lead customer fraud awareness, education and digital security initiatives with relevant stakeholders to strengthen customer protection and reduce susceptibility to fraud.

• Establish and maintain quality assurance frameworks, standards, scorecards and performance metrics for digital fraud monitoring, detection and regulatory reporting.

• Identify process gaps, control weaknesses and operational inefficiencies through quality assurance reviews, and ensure timely corrective and preventive action.

Eligibility

Candidates must hold at least a bachelor's degree from a Higher Education Commission-recognized university or an equivalent qualification. International certification in financial crimes compliance and FRM will be preferred.

Applicants must have at least 12 years of banking or non-banking experience in fraud risk management, operational risk, financial crime compliance, internal controls or related functions, with significant leadership exposure. Applicants must be no more than 55 years old on the date of application.
