About the role

The University of Malakand invites eligible Pakistani nationals to apply for teaching and administrative positions under the project Establishment of Women Sub-Campus at Batkhela, University of Malakand. Appointments will be on a fixed-pay, project-based contract until completion of the project duration or subject to the availability of project funds. Salaries will be admissible under the approved PC-I of the project.

Teaching applicants must meet the Higher Education Commission eligibility criteria available at J92LINK1X and the University website, **https://www.uom.edu.pk**

Administrative qualifications and experience are as follows:

• Assistant Treasurer: First-division master's or BS degree, representing 16 years of education, in Business Administration with specialization in Finance, Commerce, Chartered Accountancy, or an equivalent degree in Finance or Accounting from an HEC-recognized university or degree-awarding institution.

• Assistant Director Administration: First-division master's or BS degree, or an equivalent qualification representing 16 years of education, from an HEC-recognized university or degree-awarding institution.

• Assistant Director Works: First-division BE in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification from an HEC-recognized university or degree-awarding institution, with valid Pakistan Engineering Council registration.

• Network Administrator: First-division master's or BS degree, or an equivalent qualification representing 16 years of education, in Computer Science, IT or Software Engineering from an HEC-recognized university or degree-awarding institution.

• Sub Engineer: At least a second-division BE in the relevant field, or an equivalent qualification, with a CGPA of 2.5 out of 4.0 where applicable, from a PEC-recognized university or degree-awarding institution; alternatively, a first-division Diploma of Associate Engineering in the relevant field from a Board of Technical Education, with at least three years of relevant experience in a university, government or semi-government organization.

• Junior Clerk: HSSC in second division or an equivalent qualification from a recognized board or institution; typing speed of at least 40 words per minute; and adequate knowledge of computer use, including office automation tools and word processors.

• Tube Well Operator: First-division Matric with an Operator certificate in Mechanical/Operation from a recognized institute.

• Mason: At least second-division Matric with two years of masonry experience and practical demonstration of masonry work.

• Assistant Cook (Female): SSC or an equivalent qualification from a recognized board or institution, with at least three years of experience in reputable hotels or restaurants.

• Naib Qasid, Aya (Female), Bearer (Female), Helper (Lady Searcher), Mali and Sweeper: SSC or an equivalent qualification from a recognized board or institution.

• Security Guard: Retired Armed Forces personnel with good physique. The maximum age for these candidates is 45 years.

The age limit is 18 to 45 years. For eligibility purposes, a CGPA of 3.00 out of 4.00, or 60% marks under an annual system, will be treated as first class.

Appointments to administrative posts numbered 7–16, from Tube Well Operator through Security Guard, will be made within the territorial jurisdiction of the University of Malakand. Appointments to posts numbered 5–6, Sub Engineer and Junior Clerk, will be made within Malakand Division under Section 04 of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Universities Act, 2012, as amended.

A 5% minority quota and a 2% persons-with-disabilities quota will be observed in accordance with rules and the project requirement.

Generate the prescribed fee challan through the Campus Management System and deposit the applicable non-refundable fee:

• Associate Professor: Rs. 11,000, comprising Rs. 5,000 application processing fee and Rs. 6,000 publication evaluation fee.

• Assistant Professor: Rs. 5,000.

• Lecturer: Rs. 4,000.

• Assistant Director Administration, Assistant Director Works and Network Administrator: Rs. 2,000.

• Sub Engineer and Junior Clerk: Rs. 1,500.

• Tube Well Operator and Mason: Rs. 700.

• Administrative posts numbered 9–16, Assistant Cook (Female) through Security Guard: Rs. 350.

Associate Professor applicants must email all publications as one PDF file to [email protected] and submit four sets of properly bound hard copies of all publications for evaluation.

After submitting the online application, send the original bank deposit slip, a copy of the application form, attested copies of all documents and two recent attested passport-size photographs to:

Applications must reach the University by the relevant deadline. Incomplete applications, applications received after the deadline and applications without the required documents or fee voucher will not be entertained. Additional certificates, degrees or publications not claimed in the application form cannot be submitted after the closing date.

Candidates applying for more than one position must submit a separate application and processing fee for each position. Applicants employed by government, semi-government or autonomous organizations must provide an NOC from their employer with the application form. Applications without this NOC will not be entertained and will be cancelled without intimation.

Candidates with foreign degrees or certificates must provide an equivalency certificate from HEC or IBCC, as applicable. Applicants should regularly check **https://www.uom.edu.pk** for updates on tests, scrutiny, demonstrations and interviews. Further correspondence will be made through applicants' cellphone numbers, email addresses or postal addresses.

Applicants may be provisionally allowed to take an ETEA test for Assistant Professor posts, where applicable. Eligibility will be determined after scrutiny of the documents of the top candidate who passes the screening test. The University may call the second candidate for scrutiny if the first candidate is ineligible.

Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview. No TA/DA will be paid for tests or interviews. The University will not be responsible for delayed or non-receipt of SMS messages, calls, emails or letters concerning tests or interviews, and candidates should remain in contact with the relevant office or testing agency.

The University reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of positions or cancel them without assigning a reason. Errors or omissions may be rectified by the University under the rules.
