About the role
The Bank of Punjab (BOP) invites applications for a Unit Head - Credit Card Reconciliation in its Credit Cards & Digital Banking Operations Division, Operations Group, in Lahore. The bank has operated for more than 35 years and has a network of over 900 branches across Pakistan.
The Unit Head will:
- Lead and supervise daily, weekly and monthly reconciliation of credit card and merchant settlements, merchant discount rate (MDR), interchange fees, processor statements and internal General Ledger accounts.
- Oversee reconciliation for both issuing operations, including cardholder transactions, and acquiring operations, including merchant settlements and point-of-sale networks, along with scheme charges and vendor invoices.
- Maintain relationships and communication with Visa, MasterCard, UPI, settlement banks and third-party processors.
- Monitor daily transactions to detect, investigate and escalate potential misuse, system errors and unauthorized charges.
- Work with vendors, IT and core banking teams to identify systemic processing flaws or errors.
- Lead automation initiatives to move manual tracking to a specialized reconciliation software platform.
- Design and deliver regular training updates on card network rules and operational controls.
- Prepare and present management reports covering aging breaks, open risks and financial impacts.
The position carries market-based competitive remuneration.

Eligibility
Applicants must hold at least a bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification from a local or foreign university recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC). A minimum of nine years of banking or non-banking experience is required. Applicants must be aged up to 55 years on the date of application.
