Data Processing Assistant (BPS-12)

About the role

The Office of the Chief Engineer Sukkur Barrage Left Bank Region (Irrigation Department) is hiring Data Processing Assistants to support office data and IT functions across its regional divisions. Appointees will work under the Sukkur Barrage Left Bank Region administration and must meet the educational, screening and experience requirements listed below.

Posts and vacancies

• Total vacancies: 4 posts for Data Processing Assistant (BPS-12).

• Distribution: two posts in District Shaheed Benazirabad (including Dad Division) and two posts at Rohri Division, Moro, District Naushahro Feroze.

Eligibility

• Qualification: (i) Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent from a recognized university/institute; OR (ii) Diploma in Information Technology (DIT).

• Experience: At least one year experience as a Data Processing Assistant.

• Screening: Candidates must have passed the general screening test of Graduation Category with at least 40% marks, conducted by IBA Sukkur Testing Services (STS), and must possess the STS certificate.

• Age limit: 18–28 years. Age will be calculated as of the closing date of application. Upper age relaxation of five years is allowed as per notification of the Services General Administration & Coordination Department cited in the advertisement.

• Domicile: Applicants must have domicile in District Shaheed Benazirabad or Naushahro Feroze as indicated.

• Quota: Share of quota reserved for initial appointment shall be adhered to as per Sindh Government rules/policy.

• Service status: Applicants already in government service must obtain NOC from their respective department before submission and bring the original NOC at the time of interview.

• Ensure you possess and upload/produce the STS Graduation Category screening test certificate showing at least 40% marks.

• Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview before the Departmental Selection Committee; applicants must appear with original documents as per the interview schedule that will be uploaded on the job portal.

• No TA/DA will be admissible for interview.
