Data Processing Assistant (BPS-12)

About the role

The Office of the Chief Engineer, Sukkur Barrage, Left Bank Region invites applications for the post of Data Processing Assistant (BPS-12). The post will serve in the Barrage Division Sukkur and involves data processing duties as per departmental requirements. Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview by the Departmental Selection Committee.

• Age limit: 18 to 28 years (upper age to be calculated from the closing date; age relaxation details below)

Eligibility

• Domicile: Candidates must have domicile of District Sukkur.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent from a university/institute recognized by the Higher Education Commission OR Diploma in Information Technology (DIT).

• Experience: At least one (1) year of experience as a Data Processing Assistant.

• Screening test: Candidates must have passed the General Screening Test of Graduation Category with at least 40% marks conducted by IBA Sukkur Testing Services (STS) and possess the STS certificate required for appointment.

• Age and relaxation: Age will be calculated from the closing date in accordance with rule-7 of the Sindh Civil Servants (Relaxation of Upper Age Limit) Rule, 2024. Upper age relaxation of five years will apply as per notification of Services General Administration & Coordination Department No. SOIII (SGA&CD)564/2011 (Part-II) dated 06-03-2025.

• Quota: The share of quota reserved for initial appointment will be observed as per Sindh Government rules and policy.

• Other: Applicants already in service should obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their respective department prior to submission and bring the original NOC to the interview.
