About the role

Medical Teaching Institution, Nowshera (MTI Nowshera) invites applications for three senior IT posts. Its constituent units are Qazi Hussain Ahmad Medical Complex (QHAMC) and Nowshera Medical College (NMC). It is an autonomous body run by a Board of Governors under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Medical Teaching Institutions Reform Act 2015, as amended in 2026 by the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Eligibility

1. Assistant Manager (Computer Systems & Networks)

Qualification: A four-year BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering, or an equivalent qualification from an HEC-recognised university.

Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a reputable organisation, preferably a tertiary care hospital or healthcare institution. This experience must cover planning, implementing, administering, troubleshooting and maintaining enterprise IT infrastructure, including:

• Enterprise LAN/WAN and wireless networks

• Windows Server administration

• Virtualisation (VMware/Hyper-V)

• Active Directory

• Enterprise storage (SAN/NAS)

• Backup and disaster recovery

• Network security and firewalls

• Data centre operations

Mandatory certification: One of the following:

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

• Cisco Certified Specialist

• Microsoft Certified (Windows Server/Azure Administration)

• CCNP

Added advantage:

• VMware Certified Associate (Data Center Virtualization)

• Fortinet Certified Associate (NSE)

• ITIL Foundation

• CompTIA Network+/Security+

• Palo Alto Networks certification

• IBM, Dell EMC, HPE or equivalent infrastructure certifications

2. Assistant Manager (Software & Web Development)

Qualification: A four-year BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or Computer Engineering, or an equivalent qualification from an HEC-recognised university.

Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a reputable public or private organisation. This must cover enterprise software development, web application development, database design, application support, system integration and software project implementation. Experience in leading software development teams and managing web-based projects will be preferred.

Added advantage:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate or DevOps Engineer Expert

• AWS Certified Developer – Associate

• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Oracle APEX certification

• ITIL Foundation

• Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), CompTIA Security+ or an equivalent cyber security certification

3. Database Manager

Qualification: A four-year BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering, or an equivalent qualification from an HEC-recognised university.

Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a reputable public or private organisation. This must cover database administration, database design, performance tuning, backup and recovery, disaster recovery, database security and database support.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in:

• Oracle Database and Oracle APEX

• Healthcare information systems (HMIS)

• ERP systems and other enterprise database environments

• Planning and implementing high-availability database solutions, database migration and disaster recovery environments

Added advantage:

• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) – Database Administration

• Oracle Database Administration Certified Associate/Professional

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate

• Microsoft SQL Server certification

• Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) certification

• Linux administration certification (RHCSA/RHCE)

General conditions

• Experience marks will be awarded only for relevant experience gained after obtaining the required degree.

• Civil servants must attach a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their parent department. Without it, they will be considered ineligible.

• A civil servant who is selected must submit evidence of an accepted resignation from the civil service within 90 days of joining. Failure to do so will lead to termination from service ab initio without notice.

A candidate may be disqualified or debarred from the interview if he or she:

• has been convicted by a court of law

• has been dismissed from public service

• knowingly furnishes false information

• suppresses information that may lead to disqualification

• attempts to obtain support for his or her candidature by improper means

• submits forged certificates

• tampers with entries in age or academic certificates

• misbehaves in the interview

3. Attach the following to the completed form:

- complete bio-data
- attested academic certificates, experience certificates and domicile certificate

4. Submit the form to the HR Department, MTI NMC/QHAMC, Nowshera, either in person or by registered courier.

Applications must reach the office by the closing date. Documents that arrive by courier after the closing date will not be accepted, even if the fee was paid on time. Late applications will be rejected.

Selection: Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview. Shortlisting will be based on pre-interview marks. Bring your original documents to the interview. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the test or interview. The competent authority may cancel any post according to the requirements of MTI Nowshera.
