About the role

Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works Limited (KSEW) is seeking suitable candidates for multiple positions on a contract basis. Selected candidates will join the organisation in their respective operational and administrative functions and will report to the relevant senior management. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for test and interview. No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing in test or interview.

Posts and vacancies

• General Manager (Human Resources) — 1 post

- Minimum Bachelor's degree (16 years) in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management or a related discipline. Master's degree / MBA with HR specialization or a relevant professional HR qualification preferred. - Minimum 20 years of progressive professional experience in Human Resources, including at least 5–7 years in senior management and leadership positions, with a record of leading HR functions in large, complex or multi-site organisations. - Strong experience in HR compliance, governance, risk management, and advising the Board and senior management on strategic HR matters. Must be well versed in HR policies, employment regulations and labour laws.

• Assistant Manager (Spot Purchase) — 1 post

- Graduation or Intermediate from a recognized institution. - Minimum experience: 3 years for a graduate; 10–15 years for an intermediate candidate. - Candidates with procurement experience in reputable government organisations / state-owned enterprises will be preferred. - Good communication skills and proficiency in MS Office / ERP required.

• Office Assistant — 1 post

- Graduate from an HEC-recognized institution. - At least 3 years' experience in office administration, record keeping and document control. - Knowledge of MS Office and ERP / IFS applications preferred.

Eligibility

Candidates must meet the education and experience requirements listed for each post. Age limits as advertised: General Manager and Assistant Manager (Spot Purchase) up to 55 years (relaxable for outstanding candidates); Office Assistant up to 45 years. Degrees and diplomas must be verified by the concerned Board / HEC. Applicants must submit CNIC and domicile.
